Vampires

Could a daedra who has blood, and then like a mortal caught the vampires disease, would he/she go through the same stages of vampirism and would he/she become a vampire?

As far as we know that has never happened be fore.

Still I would assume they are immune to common disease and thus unable to catch Porphyric Hemophilia and although there is no information either confirming or denying this, the Daedra never seem to be afflicted with any sort of disease.

Ha, thats the first time I've seen prow with a grammer mistake (before, not be fore)

I would imagin that they would only get Porphyric Hemophilia if they chose to... despite the whole mortal-powerless thing. Although, I barely think that they would be so careless as to contract it

It would be an interesting experiment. When they were through they could just go for a walk and be cured.

My mind resonates with a big "hell no." Interesting thought though. I think anything that can manifest in the Mundus that is live, i.e. man or mer-esque, is gonna have blood. I'm sure that's a "rule." This reminds me a bit of my "can Daedra make babies" question I asked a while back, which they can if they have six with a mortal in the Mundus.

I wonder if a Daedra can take the shape of a vampire though?

I always wondered whether Daedra would get Corprus was a more interesting question, seeming that it is as much a spiritual disease as a bodily one.

Well, some daedra don't have blood obviously, look at Storm Atronachs.

Well, they can be given lycanthropy, so I would assume yes. If so though, it would only last until the Daedra's current body died as vampirism is only skin deep.

Confident, but knowing Sheogorath for a trickster, Hircine secretly bred an abomination in his hidden realm. An ancient Daedroth he summoned, and imbued it with the foul curse of lycanthropy. Of pitch heart and jagged fang, the unspeakable horror had no peer, even among the great hunters of Hircine's sphere.

I thought the unstated assumption was that it had to happen through natural means, otherwise it's rather trivial.

I can't really see this happening natrually, it would either require intervention from some Aedra/Daedra, or through an extremely unlikely set of circumstances. Here's a semi-related question, can anyone show me some links to vampire lore, with emphanis on their orgins? This is just to satisfy my curisosityand anyhelp would be much appreciated.

Sorry, double posted by mistake, lol.

Also thanks for the link. I like the Imprial Library, but someone needs to put an index in it or something to make it easier to find what people are looking for.

No they don't, use the damn search engine. May the force be with you.

Yes and no. They could become vampires but to what extent? They could just cure themself. They could also choose to be vampires and not have the blood. Or not. Or with and without.

Eh, I'd just kill for an advanced search feature. With that said, I am pretty content with it though. I mostly get what I want to find.

In one of the 16 Lessons of Madness, Hircine gives lycanthropy to a daedroth.

Hircine gives lycanthropy to a daedroth.

Given that lycanthropy is a daedric disease created by Hircine himself, that doesn't tell us very much.

Can the player become a vampire after completing the Shivering Isles questline? (That's a rhetorical question, BTW.)

But vampirism was created because of a daedra too wasn't it?

Err... yes. But that wasn't the point I was making.

If the original question had been "Could Molag Bal inflict vampirism on one of his own daedric servants in his own realm?" then the Hircine/lycanthropy thing would have been relevant.

Good point.

But if you would be a vampire and you would travel to oblivion, then you could infect a daedra.
