Sorry, can't say I like the first idea. While I know you're not saying it has anything to do with twilight, and I know it doesn't, I still don't think it has any place in a TES game, the lore is mostly its own, not taken from other subjects of fantasy. The fact of the matter is there have been a number of werewolf vs vampire-based books and movies and people are sick of the idea. Yes we get the two hate eachother, we simply don't care.

I think what I mostly mean is it seems like it'd make its existence a reason for people to hate the game, might as well make a zombie apocalypse expansion while you're at it.

I would just be happy with some vampire and werewolf factions/quests in there independant of each other. I don't know if TES needs to go down the path of Vampire vs Werewolf (Pirate vs Ninja) since there doesn't seem to be much lore suggesting there is a reason for deep seated animosoty (I could be wrong though) like, say, liches who definitly don't like vampires or other sentient undead (I have long hoped for some Lich content - a Lich transformation option).

They should really work together to take out the Silver hand. But I guess if the choices were no more vampire/werewolf content or vampire/werewolf war content I am 100% behind and voting for Vampire/Werewolf war.

I was just suggesting that with my "I Am Legend" DLC desire.

Vampires vs Werewolves - wouldn't spend a dime on something so annoyingly unoriginal.

I agree. Vampire lore needs some more work, and I wouldn't mind if Bethesda added lunar transformation for werewolves. But having them fight each other is nonsense.

Aside from that, anything werewolf or vampire related would be amazing. Enough with the Thalmor and dragon stuff, bring on the afflicted creatures!

Ok the quest and factions idea sounds good, I'll give whoever suggested that a pat in the back.

However...
OP: did you overindulge in skooma? vamps vs weres war is just a cheesy, lame excuse for a DLC which sounds ripped off from everything else in the media these days.

I'd rather have a dragon circus DLC where you could tame and ride dragons as well as teach them to fly backwards.

No, they shouldn't bother since both are so shallow and pointless.

The lore for the vampires of Skyrim was completely ignored, they got copy +pasted and lycanthrophy is HARDLY a curse (more like useless past level 10 except for the resistance to disease).

Why bother doing it at all if you're just going to half-ass it?

I would have preferred half as many random dungeons/fetch quests and more attention on things like this and meaningful interactions with the world and the people in it.

Not, "Oh, you're that new member of XYZ, so what? You fetch the mead?"

"NO, I'm tha BOSS"

Better idea: how about a Vampire & Werewolves Add On ni which the two "factions" like each other and become best friends? And then they must fight evil aliens together with giant Dwemer machines that can turn into carriages and mills?

Though like I said I Am Legend scenario would be so cool. being forced int o a small little house trying to cut off all ways for htye vampires to reach you. Going hunting for them during the day when they're at their weakest.
