lol that is odd. Guess they did not anticipate someone making their character pure white. I'm guessing that their is a certain tone that it is set too or such and you were higher than it, not sure hopefully someone better knowledged could answer that.

Could be related to your vampire level, but I am not sure.

Maybe because I have the palest skin as default the vampirism can't make my skin more pale and it goes in reverse, so it is now darker??? Someone more knowledged in this case please help me.

Yeah I went to wiki and found that the char should go more pale but in my case it goes darker, I just want to know why? I was hoping since the start a very pale vampire as my char so I make my char the more pale possible but it came to me in 180o hahah. What happened? No one know?

Can you give us a screenshot of the change. Curious of how drastic it was.

Not so drastic, though I was searching and found that maybe it is because of the sunlight (?)
Is that true? The sunlight really burns your vampire skin making it darker?

I'm playing on ps3 sorry. But please tell me: the sunlight really affects your face as a vampire making it dirtier?

Not sure the sun effects your face. Go find a vampire of the same race and compare your face to them. If they are indeed lighter than you than I'm thinking you have a bug, If they are the same I'm guessing your character was just paler than a vampire and since becoming a vampire changes your skin tone to a vampire tone you got darker.

I'm thinking something technical, not so good in that field but I do have some theories... maybe when they were designing they set Vampirism as applying to a certain skin tone and pale white is not applicable, or maybe it was intentional. But I think it has to do with the fact that Vampirism changes the character's appearance slightly already and maybe a glitch is in there that changes skin tone. I would reach out to them on twitter or talk to a modder that know skyrim in and out at a technical stand point.

The sunlight does make sense! It says ''your vampire blood boils in the sun'' when you blood is boiling I would assume you would turn red like real life when someone causes their blood pressure to go high their face may turn red.

If your character is dark, their skin gets lighter as a vamp. If it is light it gets darker, it does that so there can be a noticable change in appearance.

Are you guys serious?

TC made a remark about a dirtier face. He is affected by the dirty face vampire bug. A notorious vampire bug.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampirism#Bugs

When playing as a female vampire, quitting the game and reloading the vampire save can result in a burnt or dirty face effect that does not go away on its own. The visual bug can be corrected either by curing vampirism or creating a new save where the PC is infected with the vampire disease but has not yet become a vampire. The mechanics of this fix are explained http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/61653704?page=2. If this bug has already been triggered and there is no previous 'clean face save', a new one can be created after curing vampirism by doing Falion's quest and then re-contracting the vampire disease. Then before becoming a full vampire, save the game as a fresh file and do not overwrite it. To avoid this glitch in the future, the 'clean face save' must be loaded prior to the primary save file.

By the way, that bug is misleading. It happens to all human, male or female, vampires. Not just females.

Also, the fix is to make a save when you're infected with sanguinare vampiris. Whenever, you want to play skyrim, you load your pre-vampirism save and allow your chacter to "awaken" with his/her power. Then, you load your other saves as normal and the dirty face glitch will be gone. It must be done each time you boot up skyrim.

Too bad the fix no longer works post 1.6.

I have now the answer why my female nord vampire has her skin dirty thank you for your post dude much appreciated. I will try to cure and recontract disease to see what happened.
I just cant understand why bethesda dont look glitches sections of fan site look like they dont give a ...
just watch skyrim wiki its full of glitches everywhere. Their new patches just add new gameplay option like horse fight or kill cam for magic with new glitches. Thats [censored] enough. I dont know who test their games but look like some cross-eyed play it 1 hour and say "ok guys we can sell huh? i cant see any glitch, i cant even see my feet "

I have tried the fix and it appears that it is not my problem, because the entire body of my char becomes a bit darker, but only a bit, I don't know why this happens, does anybody found that problem on your character?
