Right after becoming a vampire through the Dawnguard add-on my ebony shield isn't able to be equipped via my left or right hand. And it won't show up on my character when equipped (It lets you equip it like a piece of clothing but not in a hand). Anyone else having this problem and does Bethesda know about this one yet?

Yes, unfortunately this a long known bug that has never been fixed for vampires. The only thing I could tell you is to use a different shield, or just use no shield at all.

you can't use a shield after becoming a vampire. Will act as if using it but its not there. Goes away when your cured.

Beside that...yep, annoying glitch that will probably never get fixed.
