Entered Freeside and was promptly attacked by van Graffs goons. WTF?
Checked the wiki:
"Patch 1.2 added a new wrinkle to the peaceful ending. Turning in the evidence turns the Van Graffs permanently hostile. Apparently word gets around that the player turned them in to the NCR. "

What...???? So trying to solve Heartache peacefully is pointless?
Will I still get the peaceful ending as long as Gloria and Alice is alive?
Frankly I was aiming at a NCR Ending but if they are this imcopetent/corrupt I switch to mr House.(I already done yes-man.)
BTW why did the devs [censored] up this quest???

The Van Graffs are psychopaths and thugs. Seems fitting to me that they hunt down whoever works against them. I mean, have you done Birds of a Feather? Look at what they want to do with Cass...

Ah, good. All I have to do then is not entering Silver Rush. Well I can handle that.

I have not stayed out of the Silver Rush after turning in the evidence, but if you pair up with Cassidy again, after killing the thugs outside only, she may think you tried to finish the quest the violent way without her. If Gloria is still alive, Cassidy wants to go finish the job. It kind of messes up getting Cassidy to turn from revenge killing if that is your story.

However I always thought it would be great to turn in the evidence, then go to work for the Van Graff's. Only to let that certain customer in without being searched. Plausible deniability I think is the term.

Yes, it is OK for my character to revenge kill. He lives to a double standard.
