i'm doing the quest where i have to bring rose of sharon cassidy to the van graffs, and i have boone as a companion and i love him, but i don't want to dismiss him and have cassidy as a companion so i can bring her to the van graffs.. is there a way to have boone temporarily stay somewhere so i can just bring cass to the van graffs, then go back and get boone?

Yeah. Tell Boone you want to part ways. He should go back to Novac. When you finish Cass' quest you can tell her to bugger off and go pick Boone back up.
