VATS Targetting for inanimate objects?

I just thought it would be cool to have a mod that let you target items that detonate on impact, such as car engines, fire extinguishers, and landmines while in VATS.

Are there any mods like this, and is this even possible?

How many explodable objects are in the game? I'd love to make a mod like this. :)
