Ryan looked at Nikolai with a tat bit of uncertainty. He then walked over to the Medical cabinet and removed several stim packs from it, and started to hand them to Nikolai, but jerked it away before he got his hands on them.
"Only use them when you must. You got that?" Ryan asked.
Nikolai agreed, and Ryan placed the stimpacks in his hand.
"You've got to kick this Nikolai. Its not healthy." Ryan said, and turned to inspect Harley.
Harleys hand was a bit swollen, but that would recede soon. No need to waste meds on that. His drowsiness was most likely just the med-x wearing off. Ryan was satisfied. He turned to Rob the robot.
"Tell Harley when he wakes up, he can leave." Ryan said.
" certainly sir." The robot replied.

Ryan turned back to Nikolai.
"You got that?" he asked sternly.

After three hours of nonstop talking about Vault life, personal interests, and their jobs, Richard and Judith parted ways. Richard decided that he was going to go inside the library and study, and left the mainframe computer to go to the library. Once inside the library he thought, "Well that was fun. Now to read this book." Richard then started reading a book on the superpowers of the 19th century.

Steven opened his eyes slowly. The bright light made him shield his eyes, and he waited until they adjusted. He sat up and put his pants on, followed by the dirty old wife beater that was a size too small, showing off his already bulky body. He grabbed his toolkit and headed down to the reactor level. He knew there was a party, but he didn't really want to show up.

Most of the problems down in the water system were straightened out. Some tweaking had finally fixed water flow to the sinks in the vault. he moved on to the other problems.

8:12 AM

Having taken care of other problems in the Vault, Steven went upstairs for some food. When he arrived, he put a ration ticket in the robot's slip receiver. It's left thruster was out again...

8:20 AM

The thruster was fixed and Steven sat down and enjoyed his bacon and eggs. Caine had walked in a while ago, but never noticed Steven. Same with Doc Ryan.

9:00 AM

Steven went back to his apartment and waited for his Pip-Boy to deliver it's daily report. He was tired....

Damn, slept in. Steven got up and went back down to the reactor level to fiddle with the nuclear reactor cooling system.

Steven heard Max yell from the water chamber. Damn! Steven ran in to find Caine walking out. He brushed past him and Steven shot him a dirty look. Steven ran up to Max, and without speaking took Ron's other side and rushed him towards the med bay.

James and Lisa followed Ryan to jimmy's bed. Lisa walked beside Jimmy when a man unknown to James walked into the med-bay asking for stimpacks.
"Is he alright? Will he live?" Lisa frantically asked. "Who sold him the drugs?" Dammit Jimmy, I thought you were off that stuff." James walked over to Lisa and tried to comfort here.

"Thanks..." Max said to Steven slightly out of breath. The boy was only 15 but he was a strong lad and made it alot easier to carry Ron. They continued on...

...All of a sudden Max and Steven burst through the door of the Med-Bay carrying the body of Ron McLain. Neither Max nor Steven knew if Ron was actually alive, they just needed to get him attended to stat as time was of the essence. "We need help over here!" Max shouted as he walked straight past everyone and through the back, where the beds were. Steven and Max quickly put him on one of the beds and then Max filled the doctor in on the situation... "I don't know if he is alive or not, his smell is rotten and i couldn't find a pulse. From what i gather from Caine who I bumped into at the scene of all this was that he attacked Caine with a razorblade so Caine defended himself... I have no idea how long he has been down there, we should have got to him sooner... damnit... I hope he's ok..."

Jonathan saw Max come in and heard what happened. He quickly took Ron's pulse, it was very faint. "He's not dead but I don't he's going to make it. Stimpaks wont help as they are only for healing wounds and he's already lost a lot of blood." As Jonathan said that he hooked Ron up to a blood pack and some machines. The pulse was slow and weak. *beeep* Ron's heart stopped for a while but started itself up again

"I promise I'll use them more sparingly,but no matter how tired my body feels,my eyes stay as light as ever. Whenever I get past 29 hours it feels like my heart will give out at any second. Do you think I shoul...". That was when Max and Steven brought in Ron. Nikolai helped them get Ron on the bed,and got out of there to get out of the way of the doctors.

Richard had finished reading and decided to go get something to eat. As he walked to the canteen, he passed by the Med Bay and saw a whole bunch of people crowding around Ronnie. Judging by the machines, he wasn't going to survive long. Richard asked, "I think this is the second time I've asked this question, but what happened to him?"

Ryan looked up at the frantic woman.
"He's fine. We had to pump out his system, but he should be fine in a day or two. And actually, i was hoping you would have an idea of who would sell him jet."
Suddenly, Max, and Steven Carrying Ronnie, bloodied and passed out. Ryan jolted up and started heading towards the back, where the beds were. "Everyone out!" He yelled.
Richard came in as they laid him down and John searched for a pulse.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Not now Richard. We need you to leave!" Ryan yelled over his shoulder as He put the IV into Ronnie as John hooked up a bloodpack.
"Rob, defibrillators STAT!" Ryan said over his shoulder as he performed cpr on Ronnie to keep his heart pumping.
The Robot quickly brought over the paddles.
"John...The paddles..." Ryan said inbetween strokes.
Ronnies stats Flatlined.
"Stat John! Stat!"

Richard took a hint and left the med bay as the doctors struggled to keep Ronnie in the land of the living. Richard entered the canteen and started eating lunch by himself, as no one else was there.

Jonathan got the shock paddles and passed them to Ryan as he opened up Rob's shirt. He quickly added put the pads on his chest and started charging the damn thing. "Clear!"

Max stood there helplessly watching with Steven and then asked "is there anything i can do?..." but ultimately he knew there wasn't. He could fix machines but he couldn't fix people... He decided the best course of action was to give them some space. "...I will get out of your way too and i'll be waiting in the canteen for your report. Come on Steven..." He beckoned Steven to follow him as he walked out the door but he stopped in the door way, turned around and said, "Jonathan... Ryan... Good luck..." and he walked out...

...He went to the canteen and saw Richard eating his lunch so he went over and said, "Hey Richard, how are you doing? Can me and Steven sit with you?"

Richard said, "Sure, just pull up a seat."

Caine stood outside the Med Bay casually smoking on a cigarette and taking a swig off his bottle of whiskey every so often. It was clear he didn't care about the man dying inside even slightly. Feeling bored after a while, Caine then started walking toward the cafeteria, the "excitement" of the day making him extremely hungry. He approached the Mr. Handy and tossed a wad of meal rations at him, then grabbing a plate and piling steak, corn, mashed potatoes and bacon among other things on it.

He sat down near a girl he'd dated several times named Christine Kendal. Christine had been with Caine on many occasions, but they never had a "relationship" considering such things were against Caine's rules. "Well if it isn't my favorite fling Chris." Caine said while munching on a piece of bacon.

"O-Oh Caine... I thought you'd been locked up by vault security by now..." she said. Caine shook his head and laughed a little, taking a huge gulp of graqe soda before shooting her a flirty look. She melted like a stick of butter on the sun, caught up in his "bad boy charm" that girls seemed to fall victim to daily.

That was the way he played it though, stringing them along until he got bored. Caine's game was manipulation, and he recently went pro. "Well, anyway I think you gained a couple pounds since last time I saw ya. Might wanna get to work on that.", he said after finishing off his meal and grabbing his plate.

The look on the girls face was priceless, and Caine couldn't help but look back to absorb the moment. He then threw the plate at the Mr. Handy serving food, causing it to shatter on it's metal frame. The 18 year old boy then stood outside the cafeteria and lit up his last smoke of the day, savoring Christine's moment of humiliation and the robots hardship. "Ahhh. Life's good in Vault 110."

Max, Steven and Richard watched the whole scene involving Caine in the canteen. "Urgh, right that's it... someone's got to do something about this..." he said quietly and then stood up and shouted in the direction of the door "Caine Deckard!" Max called out walking towards him followed by "Stop right there, i want a word with you!" Max carried on walking and when he got up close he really got up close. As he was taller than Caine he was looking down at him with a real "i mean business" look... "Enough is enough Caine, can you not see what you've become? Open your eyes... this isn't you... and it's getting worse by the day... You've put 3 people in hospital in less than 24 hours... You think you are untouchable but you are not... Do you have any idea how much trouble you will be in if any of them die in there?"... Max kept his eyes solidly on Caine's... "Please can you just let me help you? I only want the best for you. We can fix all this together... What do you say?"

Richard saw Caine humiliate Christine and abuse the Mr. Handy. Inside Richard was pissed off, but he said nothing and let Max call him out on his bad behavior. Inspired by Max's bravado, Richard decided to stand next to him to show solidarity.

Caine didn't break eye-contact with Max for a second, apparently not intimated in the least by the man. Instead he let out a stifling yawn, taking another drag off his cigarette and blowing smoke upward, directly in Max's face. "Yeah, that all sounds well and good but I'm not interested. Ronnie and Jimmy are in the hospital because of their own weaknesses. I didn't force Jimbo to hit that stuff and get back in the junkie game, and I sure as hell didn't tell Ronnie to try and cut me open. If your tryin' to guilt me from that angle your wasting both our times. As far as that little punk Kyle? That chump was practice. Pedal your wares elsewhere friendo.", he said in a hostile tone before heading off toward his apartment.

"If you wanna handle this man-to-man, you can find me in my quarters. There I can fight you on my terms without your chump friends interrupting." he said, letting out a malicious chuckle as he went.

While Nikolai tried to forget what he just saw back in the Med Bay,he ran into Francois. Something seemed wrong with him,he was introducing himself to Nikolai when they had talked only yesterday morning. "Francois,are you okay? Its me Nikolai,dont you remember,we talked about you installing the E.A.C. (Enviormental anolysis Component) into my pip-boy 3000 G-Series.

as Caine disappeared down the hall Max shouted out, "Fine, do as you please, just think about what I said. You are not alone, we can help you." and with that he was gone. Max turned to Richard and said, "Urgh, he just doesn't listen at all... Let's go sit back down. I'm going to finish my lunch" on the way back he popped behind the counter and picked up the broken shards of the plate that Caine through and popped them in the bin, wrapped in a plastic bag so no one was cut by it when emptying it. Max then sat back down opposite Richard and carried on eating...

Steven sat down as Max called out Caine. Steven wanted to get the kid back for what he did, he didn't deserve to live. He quietly ate his lunch and waited for what Max had to say.

Ronnies body jerked for the third time, with no response, as the paddles began charging again.
"Come on!" Ryan yelled as the paddles readied to discharge on Ronnies chest for the fourth time.
"Clear!"
Ronnies body jerked, and fell limp once again.

Ryan was breathing heavily. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face. He exchanged glances with John.
"He's gone..."Ryan stammered.
In anger, he slammed his fist down onto the lifeless body in front of them with a sharp grunt. He then walked over to the terminal and sat down. He booted up the terminal and started the report.

Ryan buried his face in his hands, and let out a sigh of exhaustion. he then turned and faced John.
"were going to have to autopsy the body...See what killed him."

After Caine left Richard sat back down and started eating again. He said, "That Caine represents everything wrong in this Vault, and he show's no intention of stopping." He then went back to eating while thinking, "If there's one thing I wish Vault-tec could have done better, it would be to have better tasting food."

Paul was in the chapel when he heard that Ronnie had died. Well there's another lost cause, he thought. He needed a place to get away from his problems. The Organ! he thought. He ran up to his room grabbed some sheets of music. Then he started playing Oh Fortuna, and all of the world went away to him. It was just him and the church organ.

Steven listened to the organ through the vents. He stood up and bid farewell to Richard and Max. He moved his plate to the cleaning pile and walked to the chapel. On the way there, he bumped into Jessica Myers, whom Steven had feelings for. He let out a nervous smile and continued to the chapel. He waited until Father was done before walking up and speaking. "Father, that was beutiful. I missed the last mass. Have I missed much?" Stephen wasn't exactly religeous, but he needed his mind off Caine.

Paul's mind was still off for a few moments. He looked to see who was talking.
"Oh, Steven! No just A few stories you could pick up in a little book I know." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a bible, " Think fast." He said throwing it to Steven.
