Vault 111 and Beyond [Theory]

Thank you for being a little more civil this time with your comments.

Here's the thing. Everything I have said with all of my various theories is speculation, and I have never claimed otherwise. The whole point of being given a taste with the trailer and the footage is so that we can look forward to playing the end game, as well as using our imagination to try and guess certain elements of what we can expect. For me, this is something I really enjoy doing. Trying to fill in the gaps and painting a more complete picture.

All I have done is put forward what I think happens during the tutorial and the main quest, but that does not mean that I am suddenly guaranteed to be correct. As for some of the finer details, different people see different things when watching the footage, and this is to be expected. One thing I have tried to do is look at what may happen in such extreme circumstances. For example, no matter how well trained, who knows how a soldier or group of soldiers will react when they have just witnessed a nuclear detonation over what could be their home town. So they might have taken off in the vertibird even though it would not be a very sensible thing to do. In extreme circumstances, people react in unusual ways. Note that in the post-war footage, we cannot actually see whether or not the vertibird is still there, because the camera does not pan round enough.

So let's all continue to speculate and look forward to the final release in November. For the record, I actually really like your idea about the brewery :)

I have always been civil with all my comments. Annoyed a bit with you, but what annoys me is not your theories, which I do agree with at some parts, but when you say things like:

You've used this on a few occassions with other people to dismiss their criticism, or at least what makes you appear to dismiss it. It's your attitude that miff's me, not your theories, which gives off a 'I know what I'm talking about! I've done the research and watched/listened very carefully too all the subtle clues in the game play videos and the interviews.' The only thing I've continually pointed out, is that there's not enough information and that it's all baseless speculation.

You're right. I agree on some aspects, like the "mysterious friend" who approaches you. I have no doubt that some organizations would be keeping an eye on the Vaults, some in hopes that whoever comes out will lead them to a better life; others who fear them because they could have knowledge that threatens their power. Only to be gunned down minutes after talking too you... that's actually something Bethesda would put in a game, I think it has already been in a few Bethesda games in fact.

And who knows how anyone, even a soldier, would react to witnessing an actual nuclear attack. I'd imagine it would be "Lets get too shelter" first... not "Lets board an aircraft!" But the "Lets get out of here" is also a possibility, but I'd still imagine that they'd book it too the Vault rather than the Vertibird. And yeah, we don't know if the Vertibird is still there or not. It could've taken off right after it landed and did whatever it's assignment at the time was. Or the pilot could've bailed and ran to the Vault when he saw the explosion, and people came by later and stripped it for parts over 200 years. There are tons of reasons for the way something is.

Thank you. It came too me while drinking a brew while watching a documentary on... breweries. It would be a subtle gester towards Boston's brewery history. We won't know until more information comes out. In the mean time, please, continue to speculate. It's fine to do that! Just don't have that "I've done the research and know what I'm talking about" attitude.
