Has anybody had luck with whether or not you can use vault 111 as another home to store extra stuff etc? Will items despawn?

I haven't tried with 111 but I'm aware of other options

I keep a lot of useless junk in the locker there, so far i've had them in there for about 40 playing hours and they haven't despawned.
