Vault 114: The Olympians Vault. (reboot) Signup and OOC.

All credit for the concept of this RP goes to Tickchtock, she came up with this around two years ago, this is her intro, with a few minor tweaks by me. This was one of the first RPs I ever took part in and had a great cast of characters. Unfortunately it died before it really got going. I'd really like to try it again from the start and see if we can see it through this time. I'd like to have a co-GM for this, so if you're interested in the job then please let me know.

Vault 114: The Olympians' Vault

All forms of publicity favoring the vault program of the United States, now holding widespread popularity, have been seen throughout the country recently. Around here, in New York and sometimes even in neighboring states, there has been particular spotlight on this “special offer” for Vault 114. They say they're “rewarding the best of us to preserve the best of us,” or something like that. They'll take almost anyone, so long as they meet their standards in a few harmless tests-and any that pass get up to 20% off on the price of admission. Those within the top ten get 65% off, and those within the top five get in absolutely free.

There have been complaints about the ridiculously large number of tests you have to take, but it's completely worth it when thinking of the promise to be in the population's “Olympians'” vault. Even more so when thinking of the guarantee to be safe from any possible nuclear apocalypse.

---
-Current Conflict: It starts where all 2000 participants in the Vault 114 experiment (currently in nearby parts of New York) rush to enter the shelter just before the Great War makes an impact at home. Obviously, all will have to adapt to the unusual conditions of a vault, both those advertised and not. For the citizens, they will have to decide how to handle their new conflicts in life (leaving open all kinds of possible actions, whether positive or negative). For the scientists and overseer, they will have to decide how to rank the perfection of a human being, how to handle the population to ensure they produce better offspring themselves, and how to enforce the rules and manage the project in general. The conflict is rather general, as my RP ideas tend to be-in attempts to keep it open to multiple conflicts/plots (a few of which I intend to cause myself).

-Concepts about Vault 114:

-Vault's Capacity: 2000
-Unique Features of the Vault:
*There is almost no residential room made to the typical size of other vaults, either being smaller or bigger(each room varying), the most extreme even lacking furniture, functions, etc. and the opposite type inversely has even excessively luxurious objects, functions, etc.

*There are three "classes" within the vault, Upper, Middle and Lower, each with various levels of opulence or destitution.

*Status and well-being in the vault solely depends on one's abilities and how much, as a whole, they are considered to surpass or fall behind the rest of the population. This is ranked, and this list is publicly known.

*There is about fifteen scientists included in the vault population to discretely aid in the experiment, all significantly knowledgeable in things such as genetics, human anatomy, etc. Genetics especially. These scientists act as a “council” under the overseer and have notable political power and privileges in the vault. These scientists did not have to meet the other vault members' requirements, as they are doing their job-though this job isn't publicly known outside of the council and overseer.

*The five vault members ranking in the top five in excellence of all things as a whole (the score of everything about their abilities, looks, health, etc. was averaged) are to be granted free admission to the vault.
*The five members below the first set are to be required a payment 65% less than the average vault member (when it comes to all vaults, not just Vault 114).

*All those who admitted had to be at least slightly superior to the average human being, and were required to pay at a somewhat reduced amount (about 10-20% or so) to the average vault dweller.

*Would be roughly twice the size of an average vault to hold more residents, in the case that a nuclear war actually ever occurred-in which case resupplying members would be impossible for a long period of time-and in general to offer a larger gene pool.

*Would have an “advanced” (in the Fallout world) computer(s?) to help contain the vast amount of data of both the overseer's and scientists' logs, as well as the ranked list of the vault's population. (Note: The ranking right now would be numbered from 1-1,185, with the first overseer being among the scientists hired).

-Rules (very prone to change):
1. A paragraph (five sentence) minimum per post. I say this because, in my experience, it is a paragraph that's typically needed to make something interesting and significant. Of course, pointlessly rambling doesn't do any good, but horridly brief posts with just as pointless of actions don't either.

2. In the biography, you can feel pretty free to write whatever kind of character (that's possible) that you want. If there's a problem, I'll point it out. Note that just because these characters are supposed to be the “Olympians” of the world doesn't mean they don't have flaws-and they can be severe flaws (remember that the score is averaged). And when it comes to one's history, they don't care much. So long as the person in question isn't a known murderer and such.

3. In the roleplay, do not assume you can do anything big that's not already obviously possible for your character without my permission. For example, a man who's already in charge of the army can declare war (though it has to make sense, no one declares war randomly-there has to be some sort of reason behind it all, and it has to be logical for his followers to actually follow). But announcing that some big faction exists, or anything of that sort, shouldn't just be done without checking with me via private messages or OOC chat within the roleplay thread. I (think I) am pretty lenient on this sort of thing-if you know your character has the ability to do something already (and it would make sense that they would do it), you are free to go ahead and do it.
-There are exceptions to this, the exceptions almost always (if not entirely) applying to the case that it effects another important character and/or character owned by someone else. Or in the case that someone/something is being damaged. For the former issue, there has to be consent from the me or the player(depending on whether or not the character is owned). For the latter, it would have to be plausible, and not over the top (this actually applies to anything in RP, really).

4. Use proper grammar, spelling, etc.

5. Follow the general roleplay and forum rules, which includes being respectful to fellow players.

-Character Sheet (Draft):

Name: (Completely Full Name)
Gender:
Age: (Anything Within a Human's Lifespan)
Skills, Talents: (Can be Both Skills from Fallout and Other. Ex: Architecture and Speech. Keep in mind, however, that the scientists looked for good, basic abilities. Such as how high one's IQ was, how pretty they looked, how good their immune system was, how strong they were, how talented they were (this would have to be notable though, being better than average wouldn't be of much interest to them), and so forth. So mention their skills in the basic things too (if you need help, look at S.P.E.C.I.A.L.))
Ranking: (Put a Number Here, if a Vault Dweller. Delete this Part if not a Vault Dweller.)
Position: (Scientist, or Vault Dweller? If the latter, what is the character's job in the vault?)
Appearance:
Personality:
History: (Don't forget to explain their reasons for being in a vault, anything notable.)

So, who's interested in trying this with me?
