Vault 13 Canteen Usage : Fallout: New Vegas

Anyone know if the Vault 13 Canteen Pre-Order can be refilled after using it? There is some stuff on Vault saying it is multiple usage and refillable, but has no source.

Anyone got a Source?

No. Just like in real life, we have to throw canteens out once the water is gone. If it's empty, it has no purpose, so it's the only logical choice.

Yes you can my source is the fallout wiki. On a more serious note if it's listed on there it should be accurate they generally tend to check stuff through to make sure it's legit.

Maybe just MAYBE because you couldn't fill all those millions of empty vodka and nuka cola bottles you found in fallout 3.

lol i really dont know about the canteen honestly just using some common sense and its tellin me that yes either its going to slow down water depletion or itll be used as a container for water thats refillable

Yes but after 2 times the pee becomes too acidic to drink, and THEN you throw it out.

is there only the one vault 13 canteen or will there be other ones im assuming there will be kind of a dumb question but it sounds so useful when in hardcoe mode so just wanted clarification lol

I assume you mean carrying around a murky jar of questionable contents? I don't think that would be needed considering all the things that want to kill you in the wasteland.

There is only 1 Vault 13 Canteen but I assume there will be normal canteens in the game.

Maybe when you activate water while carrying it, it will have a screen popup saying (drink or refill canteen). Like with Cannablism/mister sandman/pickpocket.

Lol nah I was thinking more along the lines of preventing starvation.

But oh yeah I'd definitely be doing that too. I wouldn't drink it myself though. I'd just carry it in a canteen on my person incase I was killed by raiders, in the hope that they'd loot it from my corpse and drink it thinking that it was water.

Yeah that was what i was talking about although trying to say it in a less disturbing way hence the murky jar of questionable contents.

Anyway i love your idea about the canteen shame you wouldn't be around anymore to see the look on their face. Then again in real life they'd probably catch you to sell you as a slave so you would get that chance.
