Vault Dweller/Chosen One Vs. Lone Wanderer/Courier

I went with the Chosen One/Vault Dweller, because they seemed to have more religious and progessional meaning to people, but I also liked the concept of just being a random person and turn out to be an uber powerful killing machine, which is why I would've whent with the Lone Wanderer/Courier.

Well, seeing as the Vault Dweller is dead and the Chosen One is likely an old fart who lives in New Arroyo, I'd say the Courier kicks the LW's ass and stays supreme as the current series protagonist until the next game comes out.

Well, they probably wouldn't since most if not all of them are good guys in the canon. If they actually did meet they'd likely become BFFs, join forces and battle evil together with a righteous butt kicking fury comparable to that of Minsc and Boo.

See how fragile they are if they need to be essential. even if they all had fat men and hit fawkes with them he would still be standing, then mow them down with his gatling laser. They would go unconscious, Fawkes would regenerate, rinse and repeat ;)

500HP is not much, considering I had Boone(and Cass in that matter) killing a Deathclaw Alpha single handely before going down. That's like 500-750HP. But then again, I had them equipped in the best armor with unique weapons. :shrug:

EDIT: Is that avatar from Stalker? I saw that one, weird but interesting movie. :P

Except if there was a battle, there would be no companions.

also Fawkes is weak.

Fawkes handled a Behemoth on his own very well, it was quite a sight to behold :P

yep, very good movie imo, i'm surprised that somebody else know about it :P


also Fawkes is weak.

Really? Because I thought a couple direct hits from a MIRV was a cakewalk. But a rad roach on the other hand...they can survive a 200 megaton nuke.

But in any case, the Courier would triumph over anybody trying to attack him. Think about it. The man/woman gets shot in the head, travels across the Mojave to get revenge, takes out one or two of the major factions in the Mojave, and is able to spend time with their friends back in Goodsprings.

That's professional. And the Courier has the audacity to kill Caesar or President Kimball HIMSELF. Heck, he can kill Mr. House, the OVERLORD of New Vegas!

But my favorite is the original Vault Dweller.

I am glad you like the Vault Dweller but Lone Wanderer could not kill the others. Even with maxed skills and very high specials. Vault Dweller and Chosen One could have higher then 100 skills. They can specialize to take out the Wanderer. Also they had Damage Threshold. Chosen One could have the Bozar and Advanced MkII Power Amour. IMO better perks and traits (Wanderer does not have traits) such as Gifted and Skilled. Fallout one and two also have surgeries available to increase specials.

Courier also has Advanced MkII power armour as well as Damage threshold IMO that give the edge to courier over wanderer.

But the lone wanderer has Hellfire Armor which is the most advanced post war armor available and with the help of his Lincolns repeater and the Mysterious Stranger (who does like 9000 DMG).

Hellfire Armor just looks the best, I can still kill them with a pistol :rolleyes: Enclave in FO3 are more into looks then protecting themselves. Maybe because there are few enemies that have more then old hunting rifles.

Not even close to the protection of APA mk II in FO2.....

Total of 60 DR and +1 to str. (+1 STR in FO3 = 10 lbs of extra carrying weight)
Suit was 44 lbs. -34 net weight.

18 DT and 60 DR +4 to Str. (Fallout 2 you get 25 lbs per point of Str. so suit gives you 100 lbs extra carry weight.)
Suit was 50 lbs. +50 lbs net weight.

APA mk 2 has over 60 DR in all damage categories...
