Why not let them compete with eachother? Why put two together? It's strange to compare them like that.

Are they having a foodfrenzy competition? Or fighting eachother? Or do we compare their actions and the impact they had on their world?

Swimsuit Competition.

Given that all 4 characters are user definable, there is no answer to this question.

The Vault Dweller and Chosen One's accomplishments were much more impressive and important than the Lone Wanderer's and Courier's, so I'll go with them.

Erm... To be honest I'd go with an option not there... The Chosen One and Courier. They both have wasteland experience. Though saying that, The Chosen One lived in the village for sometime before venturing out.

I don't really understand the question. Are they having an eating contest? Staring contest? Pissing contest? Machetes at 10 paces?

Really need to know what they're competing at before anyone can make a decision on who would win. And even that's subjective since you can build each character different ways.

But they'd only be able to hit if their target was standing still....

The lone wanderer and courier would win, obviously. They could attack during the Vault dweller and chosen one's turns!

The Lone Wanderer wouldn't do crap, the Vault Dweller would shoot him in the crotch, then he would go back to 101 to cry about his daddy.

I truly love all fallout games and player characters (minus BoS for Xbox...WTF?). However, after getting into the series for the first time with Fallout 3, and then playing the originals, I have to say that the originals had more character and substance to them. Playing the new games is def. fine with me, since I LOVE Bethesda games, but I do like the character experience more in Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics. Guess it comes from starting my life playing in the isometric viewpoint.

Everything aside, I'm happy where the series is going as long as it keeps improving.

doesn't matter, would bounce off PA with no effect. Then the LW and Courier would get a critical to the eyes/groin and be down for the count if not killed right away. :P

You forget though!

Also, Both the LW and Courier can't be targeted in the eyes/groin, so that's impossible.

I know for a fact that the Lone Wanderer was taught to handle a gun at a very young age. As far as I know, the Vault Dweller never even saw a gun until one was put in his hand as he was shoved out the front door. So who's shooting who?

Honestly though, the Courier is probably the best suited to win any sort of straight up fight. The Vault Dweller and Lone Wanderer both led quite literally sheltered lives. The Chosen One was probably good in a hunt, but fighting people is rather different. The Courier has to be able to transport packages keeping them safe from creature and raiders. Also, he/she is the only one that started with a gun as their personal property. Everyone else was just handed one at some point, but the Courier carried one on a daily basis.

LW also owned a gun. I was kinda there when s/he got it.

Why do you *assume* that the Vault Dweller had never seen a gun before? Your backstory is not forced down upon you like in F3. You could have been a Vault Dweller with a long military/police history/family an stuff.

Cheats svck. You don't need cheats for a swimsuit competition. :bonk:

Lone Wanderer/Courier.

They'd just bide their time till the Vault Dweller ran out of time to find the Water Chip then gang up on the Chosen One after the fourth dream sequence.

The problem is your character in Fallout 1 had virtually no backstory at all. Sure, this leaves it up to the imagination of the player but that automatically rules out any possibility of a "right" answer.

Given what we know of Vault 13 however, it's unlikely that even if the Vault Dweller had a family with military/policy history they would have access to any sort of firearm. The armory didn't seem particularly well stocked, and I didn't see any sort of armed security force.

If the Vault Dweller was from Vault 34, my money would be on him/her any day.

Vault Dweller/Chosen One. The Chosen One has the FO2 hint book, giving him/her 300% in all skills. He/she can just use the Gauss Rifle to shoot the Lone Wanderer and the Courier in the eyes.
