Vault 11 is one of the most heartless experiments Vault Tec has conducted. I know people are killed and experimented in in lots of vaults, but in this one they were poinltessly tricked into doing it themselves. It's completly evil. One of the biggest gut punches in the game for me was when I read that final message from Vault-Tec and realized that they'd all been tricked. That's an entire population of peaceful people who managed to wipe themselves out for what would turn out to be no other reason than because V Tec was curious to see if they would.
Vault 112 was by far the most sadistic thing in the series. Almost everyone you meet in Fallout has a reason for doing bad things. Whether it's for survival, wealth, future generations, or cleansing the world, there's always a somehow-justifiable reason, except for what in done in V122. Braun doesn't only kill these people for pleasure, he tortures them. He doesn't even stop there! He doesn't allow them to die and does it for 200 years. Being trapped in virtual reality for that long is already bad, being tortured, killed, memories erased, and all again for what could be an eternity is downright hellish.
Vault 77 is kinda scary if you think about it. What would you do if you had to live your life in a vault with nothing but puppets to keep you company. I'm not afraid of puppets, but the idea of being locked underground with no other life at all and a bunch of puppets just sitting there soullessly staring at you is really creepy.
