Vault 21: Into The Wastes

EDMONTON.ALBERTA.CANADA

Vault 21, one of the few Vaults in Edmonton that has occupants still in them, but that just might change soon. The year is 2200 and Vault 21, home to six hundred people, is in a ton of trouble, there Overseer has recentley been murdered by a Vault Dweller gone crazy, and there Water Chip also malfunctioned the day the Overseer was murdered. Everyone in the Vault went into complete shock and panic when the news of the Overseer's death broke out and the news of the Water Chip, so Vault Security Cheif Eli Johnson regained control in the Vault and calmed people down, the next day he helled a meeting in the Vault Atrium, all the Vault citizens were there when Johnson announced the following:

"Citizen's of Vault 21, recent events in the Vault has left Vault 21 with no Overseer and no Water Chip, but no one must panic, we have Vault Technicians working on the Water Chip as we speek but they might not be able to fix it. But do not worry I have a back up plan that might work, but chances are slim, but in times like these we must take all the chances we can. I am going to be assembling a Search Party to go out into the Wastes and Search for a new Water Chip, now I know asking you this many of you will think I am crazy and you will not risk going out there but I plead you to help. This is one of the last chances we have and if we do not have enough people the search party will not be able to leave and everyone who is currentley residing in Vault 21 will eventually die of thirst. So, you can either sit in the Vault praying for a miracle or you can be a part of the Solution and come with me out into the Wastes on a mission to save our Vault!"

I'm sorry but don't you already have this thread up and running? Why is there a need for two?

Josh, to make this lore-friendly, I'd reccommend putting it somewhere in the U.S.

Most of the members were not even posting in the first one, the only people who were was Venix, Sannes, and Scholar so I decided to make a new one. And there were Vaults in Canada because in Fallout 3 in a Mailbox it says to try and get in a Vault in Canada or something like that.

Most of us know far too little about Canada, leaving us with less to post on. What I DO know is thatthe firearms laws there are pretty strict. Not as bad as england, but its still almost impossible for citizens to own a Hadndgun. That annoys me.

It also debunks my "American Indian" theme for Jansen.

Canadian Indian standing right here (Me) i know lots about my "Home and Native Land" in Alberta its hot down there, Edmonton has a mall with a rolloar coaster and water slide, in B.C. you can litterly smoke marjuana with the police watching... disgrace, Albert. Saskcatchewan and Manitoba are basicly praries, but the Western part of Alberta is mountains connecting to b.c. in Manitoba its cold and flat, like saskcatchewan, you can litterly watch your dog run away from home for hours, litterly haha Northwest Territories and yukon are basicly snow but in this case its just a barrn wasteland, Ontatio connecting to all the way to the islands are straight forests or in this rp, the sea od brown, anyways... need info on Alberta im right here...

sorry for getting off topic

I would possibly join this. As long as it doesnt call for a huge knowledge of canada, better yet, change the location?

I did abandon the original thread, I admit that. It felt like the RP was being carried on by a skeleton crew. Only three RP'ers aside from the host was carrying it on. The others barely posted after their first ones. It had a lot of potential, but it was just poorly executed.

Cool, well in that case lets hope this gets up off the ground :D How many people would you say we'd need? 6ish? 7 maybe? I can think of some cool ideas for this, searching for a water chip, scavenging etc :P
Just as long as everyones dedicated to actually doing it. Iv only hosted one RP and it just came to a sudden stop, which was a shame. But im looking forward to rping again!
So im definetly in!

Now I'm not a Canuck, but I've had a chance to work with your people in past, and here are a few things that you could use instead to make your story a little bit more interesting and a little more in line with Fallout Canon in general.
1) Vault 21: Change the setting to that of Canadian Government Civil Defense Bunker based out of Griesbach Barracks or RCAF Station Namao.
2) Waterchip: Instead of using the Waterchip as that was made by Vault-Tec instead use a reference to some sort of water filtration system.
3) The Overseer: Instead ruled over by a senior elected official of your Parliamentary system, perhaps a Lieutenant-Governor?
4) Vault Security: Security of the site, depending on the location would either be under the Canadian Provost Corps(Provosts) or the Royal Canadian Air Force Police(Air Police).

I guess I can change the location to a US city, maybe New Vegas?

Very true but I think I am changing the location just to make it easier.

Yes I agree with you but I think it will be better this time.

Lore-wise it could be anywhere in America. I'm pretty sure Vault-Tec was practically an American owned company, and only built them there. Also, "Flake" means an unreliable person, or one who barely follows all the way through.

Anyways, I'll join because I wanna return to this Forum.

Doesn't sound fulfilling at all... I'm getting involved in another RP right now so i doubt i'll be able to do this. Unless its really promising. After all I have alot of time on my hands right now, so....
