Jason takes cover quickly behind a concrete counter and tries to look around the room to get an idea of where the prisoners actually are. The room is fairly large, it was probably used as a storage room of some sort. There are no windows so there is poor lighting from the few desk lamps and a weak light bulb that illuminate the room. He sees some cages between two other concrete counters and a person's leg. He can't get a clear view of who it is but he figures it is the prisoners. He starts shooting in the direction of the remaining raiders that have taken up a spot behind some flipped steel tables. He rushes towards the cages and ducks behind the counter. In one of the three cages he sees his son. The child has covered his ears with his hands and seems catatonic. Jason smashes the lock open with the pad of his rifle and pulls his son out. Then he opens the other two cages in the same way. He hugs his son and holds him tight to his chest while stroking his head gently.
Jason: Its going to be alright kiddo, dad's here, you're alright.
Jason looks towards the other two prisoners who are also vault dwellers taken by the raiders.
Jason: I will lay cover fire, take my son out of here.
Jason stands up and shoots a whole clip towards the raiders, not intending to kill them necessarely, but keep them from shooting. A man he freed takes his son in his arms and runs towards the door. Jason's rifle clicks a few times after he runs out of ammo. He quickly takes another clip, buckled to his belt and reloads. The raiders start shooting again towards Jason. He lays some fire on them and yells out to Abram and Brian.
Jason: Lets get the hell out of here!
Jason shoots off a few more rounds towards the raiders and makes his way to the door. The others he freed are just outside waiting for him and the others to move. The raiders let off a few more shots just as Jason turns to exit the storage room. Jason runs out and yells to everyone to start making their way out and run back to the camp. He starts to run just behind the two men and his son. Jason slows down, the vault dwellers and his son running ahead. He puts his right hand out and leans against the wall, then slides down on his knees and falls over, blood running down from his back onto the floor.
