Hey,

I was asking around for work and was at NCR farm camp outside vegas and i am playing hardcoe mode right now but the problem i runned into here was i can't find the key to the Reactor door in the vault.
so i ask for advice from someone that have done this quest is the key in the vault because i looked in every room and i cant find the key so is there any hint i might find the key dont need to pinpoint location but is this a bug or not?

No it's not a bug you can find the key in the vault on a certain someone who doesn't really take well to visitors.

EDIT: Now that i think about it a while, he has something to do with opening it, dont believe there really is a key.

you're gonna need to look it up on wiki, for a detailed what to do, vault 34 is tricky first couple times, first of all you need to passwords from two dead ghouls in underwater sections, once you get their passwords for the terminal, then you need to go to a password terminal and use those codes to open the overseers office, you also have to use another terminal and empty the water out with the water pumps, and once you do those thnigs then you can get in the overseers office which is where you need to go in orde to get to the other terminal to either help the leftover people in the vault or isolate the radiaton to help the ncr farm base or whatever it is, also down in the overseers office you can open the armory which you're gonna want to go in there for sure, there is a load of weapons including the all american rifle as well as a marksmens carbine and a lot of other stuff like vault 34 armor etc, but thats what you need to do, also you are gonna need a radiation suit for sure cause you'll be down there a while and plenty of rad away and rad x prob a dozen of each at least although there is some down there, there's a lot of radiation down there. you can get a radiation suite from blake at crimson caravans. one last things, lots of ghouls down there so you're gonna need firepower for sure.

Well that explains why i have my problems as i do and yes i noticed the rad hehe ^^. Hmm but i searched all ghouls i killed and nothing left over the water lvl at the armory and such and the dead guys laying around so but thanks alot that helped much and i look it up for more info ,

vault 34 is tough the first couple times, it gets easier, just follow the link the guys gave and also save often down in there, just in case you burn a lot of time running around you can reload cause rads add up quick without a radiation suit, even though its tough its good to do cause the armory is well stocked, that will set you up for the game basically with the weapons in there.
