"Jansen catch!" Zoey shouted, tossing a metallic object at him. Jansen caught the item just before it hit the ground and examined it. It was a slightly-battered, but entirely functional H&K Holographic sight.
"You said you'd kill to have one? Now you can kill with one, Harith owed me. You might be suprised but weapon parts aren't hugely hard to come by. Some are, but all in allplenty of scavving goes on so alot are picked up." Zoey explained as Jansen affixed the sight to the upper sight rail of his UMP. Once he was dont, they started walking again.
"Hey Jansen. Sorry if I was bit harsh when we got out of the vault with the dogs and everything. It's just so dangrous out here you've got to be alert." Zoey apolagized. Not that she needed to, Jansen should have been prepared. He had charged himself with protecting the others, and he had blown it within forty seconds.
"T's okay. Your right, I should have been prepared." He replied, putting the matter to rest. The next time, he wouldnt make the same mistake.
"Hey, you looked pretty embaressed when I said Lydia was your girlfriend. Whats up with that?" Zoey confided in a hushed voice once Jansen, her, and Lydia had gotten a bit farther ahead of the other Vault dwellers, who had been clinging to the security guards in tight groups.
"Well....may be wierd out here, but the vaults have pretty strict rules, especially for security, since we're the ONLY ones who get fireams. I may not look it, but I'm a month away from 21, making me almost three years older than Lydia." Jansen explained. He guessed that such rules and concepts were almost unheard of out here in the rugged wasteland.
"She's only 17, and she has no parents. They died in a pipe break. If me and her were discovered to have a relationship, even if it isnt physical, it would be considered me taking advantage of her. The overseer hated me, he would mock me up as a rapist through lies and rumors and get me kicked off of security, or worse." He continued, hoping that Zoey understood his situation.
