[WIP/BETA] Vault 64 v2

I have only placed a few of the special coffee cups. There are more in the data files, just not placed. I also plan on creating a few more of them. There are currently 9 different cups.

Remember, the vault is an engineers dream vault, and there was a lot of 50's paranoia before the war started.

I am taking suggestions for cups as well. Keep it clean.

Those are some good ones! I like 2, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.

I have the simulation ammo spawn terminals set up to include most of the ammo types.
The 'other' side of the manufacture area is finished as well, where you look in the windows and see androids working away making stuff on the machines. I may start work on another area soon, not sure which just yet. Probably the bathrooms and shower/locker room.

Perosnaly I would love to see the clinic :)

I have to report a bug. I transpoted to marker 1 with the transporter. and the white won't go away. I waited for 15 minutes. If I waited in the atrium it would go away in a minute, but if I entered another place it would be back. Restarting the game also didn't help.

@harmy52 - The clinic will be difficult to make with all the plans I have for it, including a surgery area and the 'Enhancement chips'.

I got the shader fixed (I hope) when using the base teleporter. It had the wrong shader effect on it. :thumbsub:

@Miss Sparkle - I will try to make your 'special' cup. :)


There is currently no recent beta testing going on. There may be one this weekend, so if your really interested, keep a watch on this thread. When I have the beta ready, that is when you can request it. Thanks!

WillieSea: Glad to hear that you got it fixed. But the weird thing is, it hasn't happened again, and I use the Teleporter rather extensively now. But just in case, is there a console command to remove the white screen if it gets stuck? Maybe you could put an item in the vault that would remove the white screen when selected in the pip-boy.

Also, how do you get the ammo for the Blaster Master? It needs solar charges. My original idea was to walk outside, but that didn't work.

Maybe you could try dropping the Blazer Blaster and then picking it up again just once, then walk outside to charge it up. That seems to be the only way it works for me.

The Blazer Blaster will be fixed in the next beta so you don't have to drop it first. There was a slight problem with the complex script that was attached to it. I have also just given it a NEW and IMPROVED look. Check it out!

I have been putting the 'Clinic' area together. Its mostly just room pieces and some clutter. But it should give a good idea of what I am doing. I will add the 'Doctors' and special stuff later. It a lot of work as you can imagine to make it actually 'Look' like a clinic. I have the waiting room and one of the examination rooms cluttered. There will also be recovery rooms and a surgery.

I will edit this post with a picture of the Clinic area soon.

Am i seeing it correctly? Is it truelly scoped? WS, you're my hero! :D Not enough scoped weapons in the game. This looks truelly amazing.

I'm looking forward to the clinic. Will this include the improvement chips? Or will that be in a later update? Either way it's cool.

Do you have an estimated time for when you think that the next BETA is done? I can't wait to see all the improvements.

Its a weapon from 'phoynix', from his/her A-08 Fusion Cannon mod. I retextured it to yellowish orange. :)
And yes, It is scoped. For now, its using the 'Sniper Scope'.

The 'enhancement chips' will not be part of the next beta. I want to re-create the little chips that will go with each enhancement.

I will probably have the beta ready sometime this evening. I want to finish off the Surgery room so you don't just drop off into the void. I am sure somebody would report a bug that the Clinic hallway just vanishes, all the pieces are invisible. :lmao:

The clinic is a lot bigger then I expected :) It looks really like a clinic. Not like most clinics in the game. You know what would be cool, to perform surgery on captured aliens :ooo: Just kidding :P

Can you choose flamer fuel and change the setting from the zombies simulation in the next version? If so, that will be the first thing I will try out :celebration: :flamethrower:

Yes, that has all been added.

The vaults were supposed to be 'huge' underground structures, so I am trying to portray that in my mod. The many 'caverns' are unfinished areas that were still being excavated to make it even larger. The living area will have a couple of the caverns since I don't want to build an endless rabbit warren of rooms and passages.

All you need is a game save that has NEVER had a previous version of this mod saved in it. Its called a 'clean save game'.

If you have been playing with this mod, you can simply load your save game with this mod 'removed' from your load list. Then save the game.
Then you quit and exit, and add the updated mod to your list.

As you may have seen in the GECK forum I was having some problems with voiced lines with the GECK, now that I have that remedied thanks to Miaximus and Pkleiss there was some dialogue I created for your follower if your interested. To be honest they aren't that good, if I tried anything more complex then just cutting a word or two out they started to sound badly and the tones didn't really match up, so I only have eight lines so far. I understand if you don't want to use any of them, I was just trying to gain more experience with Audacity.

Here is a list of modified dialogue:

"You just made my day!"

Originally "You just made my day! Opening fire!", I figured you might use this if the player told your follower to follow him after making him wait somewhere or some other situation.

"Find me something to shoot at!"

Originally "Somebody find me something to shoot at!".

"Have some of this and tough it out"

Originally "It's just pain soldier! Have some of this and tough it out", maybe used when your follower gives the player water? I can try to cut out the "and tough it out" bit if you want.

"You take care of me, and I'll take care of you"

The original dialogue had some probably censored dialogue in there so here is a watered down version: "Listen up you soldier! You are now wearing prototype medic power armor! You take care of me, and I'll take care of you". Since Medic Power Armor uses the same voice as the Mister Gutsys I could use its dialogue. Maybe you can use it for when the follower gives the player water or access to your follower's inventory?

"Reporting for duty sir!"

Originally "Medic armor, reporting for duty sir!", I also have another version with ma'am instead of sir, in case you wanted a version for each gender. Maybe used as a greeting?

"Initiating Combat Protocol"

In this one the original you will probably like better then mine, it was originally "Initiating Combat Protocol: Charlie Zulu Four". I just cut it up because as I have said, I wanted to try to get better at this.

"There is nothing I like better then a little R and R"

Originally "There is nothing I like better then a little R and R on Uncle Sam's dime", maybe used if the Player tells your follower to return to base?

It's not much I know :embarrass:, but I figured while I already put it together I might as well offer it since I am not going to be using it. If you want to use any of it just let me know.

Alas, I know little about dialog, even less so than quests, which is not much at all. If you want to add them to the mod, I would not complain! LOL Let me know if you want to do that and I can make sure you have the latest ESP where I will not be making any changes to it.

The Beta V012 is uploading and it should be ready for some brave testers very soon.

I also made 'Oxygen tanks' from the vanilla Nitrous Oxide tanks.
I worried that the walls of the clinic area would look 'odd'. But I sort of like it too. :)

There have been a number of changes in this version, mostly to do with the Manufacturing area and the new clinic.
I still have to finish the manufacturing area - to make a terminal so you have to 'build' the robot companion.
The clinic will take a lot more work to make the doctors and nurse androids as well as the surgery Mr Handy robot. He will be able to implant the 'Enhancement chips' that you will be able to build in the manufacturing area.
