Vault tech experiments

As some of you know I had an issue I was complaining about where I lost nearly all of my citizens do to an unfortunate series of spiraling failures. However all is not lost and now it's quite interesting.

The short story is all but 4 of my Dwellers died to starvation. The only survivors being, 3 Women and Legendary Character "Scribe Rothschild", an elderly male BOS scribe from fallout 3. Rothschild was out collecting hordes of wasteland loot when everything went to hell. I decide to try and play it out anyway because he's only one of two Legendary characters I've ever rolled from lunchboxes. I'm determined to make this work. So I severely downsized my vault in order to deal with the serious resource demand and make it manageable for 4 people. Most rooms are basic 1 size accept power and water. (what i had to do to make it work)

Anyway the Moment Rothschild comes back I have to repopulate. He impregnates all three women. They all happen to give birth to girls. He's impregnated all of the women again. This is starting to feel like a creepy Vault tech experiment. 1 dude, in a vault full of women. I'm wondering how creepy it's going to be if they all end up girls again. If that's the case maybe I will kill off any males that happen to spawn just to keep it going.

As long as I keep the three women he's making babies with alive it should be OK right? It's not incist yet :)

Your gene pool is going to be full of... Rothchild! Unless you decide to recruit wastelanders, or vacuum-sealed humans.

The Vault Stud Scribe Rothchild did manage to eventually conceive a few boys. But since he's fathered all but 3 of the Inhabitants of the vault and it's up in the 20's again He's kind of earned a new title:

Speaking of Vault-Tec experiments I sent all but 4 vault dwellers out to explore the wasteland where they weren't allowed to come back. They all died. I'm a sadistic, awful man.

odd note, when I viewed your prior post, it gave me an idea for Vault themes. I went on a binge reading through the various vaults and there scientific back story purposes. Over in my suggestions thread, that I have been maintaining (http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1532106-game-improvement-suggestions/) I have a section called Vault Arch-Type, Have a read ;-P

Just to point out that the relationship restriction is dropped on the third generation. So... your Overseer Rothchild (I had a good chuckle with that name) can have kids with his great-great grand daughters.

So far they are all his sons and daughters though. But that is good to know if I get some new blood in the vault. The same 3 women have given birth well over 10 times each it's pretty messed up but fun!

I laughed so hard because of this!

Also, can those women even walk anymore? Or do they just stroll about like they're already pregnant?
