That's Vault-Tech for ya. As Penny Arcade once said: “You've got to remember though: the Vaults were never meant to save anyone.”

Basically, they were just science labs for the Enclave/Vault-Tech to run their sick experiments on the helpless civilians unfortunate enough to get a place in one of the Vaults. Something Sole Survivor realized all too well during Fallout 4.

@Kingdud- They experimented on children and weeded out those they felt were too weak to survive. Yes. Children.

Could someone maybe post a pic or video of the terminal? Vault 75 glitched and wont start as a quest for me. I can't progress with it at all and it sounds insaaanneellyy interesting.

And those that did survive and 'pass' the 'training' their organs harvested for genetic material. Messed up. I was hoping the find the Overseer somehow still alive to personally end them myself.

mild spoilers, although shouldn't matter as what was posted above is essentially the spoiler.

Spoiler

I was a little confused at vault 75, they said they harvested the dna, and then I remember they said that some of the superior class were sent back into the population.

On one hand they made it sound like organ harvesting, but then it sounded like some of the best specimens were kept alive after the harvesting.

Anyone older than 18 that wasn't staff was killed and cremated. Vault-Tec wanted the Overseer to create a fake graduation ceremony to individually take the 18+ kids aside to make it easier to kill them one at a time. The DNA harvested from the successful candidates was used to make test tube babies to basically make the ultimate human. Effectively it was the manual and generational version of the FEV. FEV is the Forced Evolution Virus, what's used to make Super Mutants.

Could you please Submit Feedback to Bethesda about this bug? Many people are experiencing it, yet not a lot seem to be doing anything about it.

I know, right?!

So creepy, I adore it. That's some Logan's Run stuff right there.
