im getting a new laptop soon and just wondered if its worth getting the pc game to, dose it have bad lag problems or worse bugs then the 360 game? also what spesifications will my laptop be required to have?

I've been playing since release on my desktop(18 month to 2 year old spec) with no major bugs what-so-ever, a few minor graphical glitches is all (touches wood).
Another plus for the PC is turning everything up to max(I have everything up as far as it can go, including all water effects). I can snipe enemies at a much further range than they show up on the HUD(max perception and/or Enhanced Sensors). And not to forget mods

The PC version will have better performance than the 360 version provided your PC is newer than 3 years. Much better performance if it's brand new hardware. The only thing to be especially sure of on a laptop is that you have real 3D video hardware, and not some integrated graphics thing.

Something to consider on the bug front is that, on the PC, if you run into a bug you can probably fix it with the console or a mod. Stuck in a wall? Vital NPC mysteriously dead? Not a problem.

yer iv been eyeing up a couple of mods already, mostly just for RP. could you give me an idea of a good laptop to get, none of the ones iv seen seem to have a graphics card.

Sorry, I don't know anything useful about gaming laptops since I've not done research to see what's available. Your best bet for current information would probably be to google something like "gaming laptop buyer's guide" .

Make sure you get a gaming laptop and don't be some [censored] that thinks he can get away with playing games on a 300 dollar laptop. I worked at Best Buy and saw soooooooooooooooooo many people that thought they could get by with those laptops. If you want a gaming laptop you are at least spending a grand I dont care what anyone says. You need a graphics card with dedicated video memory, and that DOES NOT come with a 300, 400, or 500 dollar laptop. If you have questions about it just pst me.

I got FNV first for my PS3 and loved it. I was thinking about modding for a long time though (since Oblivion) so not long ago, I decided it was time to learn so I got it for PC too. I'm having an even better time playing FNV with the Unlimited Companions mod and a few others which I sometimes leave on or turn off. It's added so much more to the game and the problem with broken Boone on the PS3 is fixed with a bugfix for the PC version. I still love my PS3 but I'm so glad I made the change. I have a new ASUS G73JW, a gaming PC. I have crashes but I save often and it's not an unexpected problem. Sometimes I'm wondering if the crashing is more because of STEAM though because I can go for long stretches with no crashing. You'll need to register and use STEAM for the PC. Good luck! My preference for laptop is completely because of mobility and since my home is set up for wireless now, I can take it from room to room. If it needs a tech's attention, I can take it in much easier too. I have it wired into my TV so I can play FNV on a big screen like the PS3 version. Now if only someone made an awesome gamepad. The one I have isn't so great but I never learned to play games on a PC with the keyboard. Just a few thoughts.

With a laptop, you're trading capability for portability and a smaller footprint. Not worth it to me, but it may be necessary for others (students for example).

you can get an xbox 360 controller that can link up to a laptop/pc, thats what im going to get.

I got the F710 wireless gamepad by Logitech but the ASUS doesn't like it because it has no driver and I haven't figured out how to connect it after lots of trying. Logitech tried to help me over the phone and ended up sending me a second one but I haven't tried to install it yet because I got the Logitech wired F510 to use so I could play the game I'd been waiting for for so long! I'll have to try connecting the second F710 gamepad again. I find the Logitech gamepad to be very stiff though and I can't zero in on something without jumping over it 10-20 times. The PS3 gamepad was so sensitive and great to use. Maybe I just need to break these in. Thanks.

I have a Toshiba satellite P500, so far it's been an amazing laptop and it has a nice screen (18.4 inch is pretty big I in a laptop think lol), I would recommend it or something along it's line, right now there's a sale going on at Toshiba's web site, so you might want to have a look.

i have only ever played a few games on it, (FO3, FONV, and HAWX) and all have performed well, both fallout's crash periodically, but that's pretty normal for every1 it seems. HAWX never crashed once and i had more then 120 hours logged on it.

as for a controller, give the keyboard a try, i used to be an xbox guy too, never thought i would be able to use a keyboard, now i cant imagine playing without it.
