If you think they should add vehicles please post your idea for a vehicle.

Not enough data.

It really depends what else is going into the game, and the map scale. Vehciles in FO3, I don't think would have worked, but a dirtbike in NV would be cool.

I'd want a hummer and a police car

Ideas:
there's a 5% chance of a enemy shooting a tire then your speed is reduced by a small amount then if there's 2 poped it goes about half the speed etc.

-You can store stuff in the trunk
-companions can't shhot big guns out of it (minigun missle launcher gernade mg etc.)
-companions hit percent is reduced depending on the speed
-you must put mf cells to recharge the engine(like in f2)
-you can upgrade them for reduced fuel, better bullet resistance add a minigun to the roof for companions or you to use(see next idea)
- have companions be able to drive and you can set the route
you can wear pa in them

That's about it

As a fast travel enabler/alternative like silt striders or boats yes. Perhaps the use of it will lessen the drain of your hardcoe meters when fast traveling. If that feature returns that is.

I agree with agent_c that there isn't enough information yet. If the map is going to be the same size as Fallout 3 and New Vegas (Just a city ) then there is no point to having Vehicles. If Fallout goes back to the Originals with many Cities that are many miles apart (map node) then they should have vehicles.

If the game engine can't do them well they shouldn't do them at all.

If they do put them in there needs to be a quest behind it like Fallout 2 and they need to explain the fuel for them. Don't want it to be like Tactics were alot of people just assumed they run on fossil fuels.

I want another Highwayman. This time without a levitating trunk. I want to burn MFCs to keep it running, I want it to be useless as a combat tool (except maybe running people over), and I have no further demands beyond it having a spacious trunk to carry my ammo and chems stockpile, and maybe some spare weapons and armor.

I'd like to ride on a plane some day in a Fallout game...But as a permanent means of transportation...? Eh.. I just don't like it.

I have loads of ideas about vehicles. Many pros, but also many cons so it doesn't look like a post-apoc racing game like Rage does from the trailers.

Grrrrrrrrr, that reminds me of the game where my trunk disappeared in all my saves and I had to reinstall the game and the famous "patch" to fix the bug. I loved that car and hated it so very much.

Oh, did you ever figure out how the Highwayman could fit Marcus, Goris, Skynet, Sulik, and K-9 in it, with the Chosen One, all at once?

Was there a secret 'clown car' perk?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, they are not!!!!! Maybe they are just extinct in the parts where Fallout has taken place so far? Or just rare?
I think NCR troopers fit perfectly on horses, they are clearly inspired by british world war one troops, and in that war they rode alot of horses.
And I love that war, not in how many people died and cities got destroyed, but how there was new technology mixed with old tactics.
Machine guns and mustard gas, trench warfare and infantry charges (and cavalry charges).

Have you ever seen a brahmin run? They can be fast, but no animal can run fast all the time.
If the caravans would have pack horses, they would probably be just as slow.
In Fallout 1 and 2, the brahmin pulled carts (made out of half a car) though.

They aren't extinct. In 'Old Roads' or whatever the comic was called there are some NCR troopers using horses.

It would seem strange if reconditioned pre-war vehicles suddenly appeared in a FO world but they could introduce the early stage of some new form of transport or make vertibirds available.

Merchants using carts pulled by Brahmin or Big Horns would be a step forward.

a dune buggy would be kinda cool...

There are mods for vehicles in FO3... never tried it because what agent c said i find the distances too short or the map too small, depending how one looks at it.

It probably about time large factions had some vehicles with heavy weapons on them. I don t think you should get to be it one for very long. I don t think you should get your own g ride.

NCR with a couple tanks. raiders with a toyota 4x4 with a .50 in the back. Stuff to [censored] you up, but you can never get them. You can destroy them, but never get them. Unless 1 special mission arises.

i think that it could work if vehicals were hard to get up and running, and keep running, both from a player point of view as well as lore wise(you'd typically only see the big factions like NCR, BOS, Enclave use them and only a small number) obviously if there were vehicles the map size would have to be big enough to accommodate them without threading needles through mob spawns in an effort to avoid destroying your only ride.

Only if the game limits vehicles to the vehicles in Fallout 3 and New Vegas and the Highwayman from F2. I still want the world to maintain that retro futurism. So no Hummers or trucks of today. yes I'm a purist, get over it.

As to cons, I think a major con should be that it must either be constantly refueled or maintained. Why? Because a vechicle that 'only gets damaged when shot' is unrealistic and overpowered in terms of travel. The Pros are speedier and comfortable travel, the cons should be fuelling, maintaining, and the riggid terrain and torn roads.

How could an uneducated person who had likely never read a book in his life know what an extinct animal looked like? If you treat that as noncanon, then you have to treat all of All Roads as noncanon.

Yeah I agree, the Khans know full well what a horse is as they have painted pictures of them on their tents in Bitter Springs.
