Im guessing the vendor bug was patched? Is there a way to craft bullets? I don't have enough time in an evening to farm and enjoy the game too, buh.

Yep looks like it was fixed. Purified water should still make you a rich turtle tho. Not an instant solution, but tons of caps on the horizon.

Yeah read that, doing it now. Once I get home (after 2 hour commute) I just want to wreck things and and explore, both require .45 bullets darn it.

Well then, just spend a little time building weapons stores in your settlement(s). I haven't tried it myself, but maybe you can build 5 or 10 shops, all of the same type. That would give you one location that you could trade all your loot for the bullets you need.

Shops of the same type in the same settlement share inventory. If your in need of bullets sell adhesive by the hundreds.

Grow 12 corn, 12 tato and 12 mutfruit using 4 settlers (1 ea. corn & Tato, 2 for the mutfruit), then you can make 4 starch which yields 20 adhesive( I think). But I've found building a large water purifier works better, You don't need any settlers. In fact, the less you have, the mode purified water that gets stored in your workshop without any effort.

I setup a couple of huge purifiers in the Slog swimming pool and the water just pours in. You would think that the water in the pool would run dry quickly but nope, not in the Fallout world :)

Stop picking up everything, focus on things with decent value/weight. A lot of lower level weapons and armor weight a ton but are worth practically nothing.

Five tips to help you make caps.

1. Get the cap collectors perk. Seems obvious but has to be said.

2. Charisma gear, a suit, glasses and hat give +4 charisma, drink some beer before selling and you will notice a significant increase in cap income.

3. Get the scrounger perk. I have a single point in it and I find 2 or 3 ammo types on every single kill nearly. Haven't tried the other luck perk though but that might help too.

4. Adhesive farm, as described above.

5. Industrial water purifiers. Sanctuary can build them, the slog, That drivein place. There are quite a few and each one will be pulling in 40bottles per day.

Bonus tip. Don't fast travel everywhere, you are missing out on tons of encounters and loot and places to explore.

Normally I get back from and adventure and I have more than enough loot to buy out all of the useful ammo from my weapon vendor and get a bunch more caps from the rest of my shops. I have 30k+ caps and my loot is just stockpiling now until I can invest in the shops to up their caps.

Get two ranks of Scrounger and good luck using all that ammo.

No kidding. Just sell the ammo type you don't use and use the caps to buy more ammo that you do use.

If you are any kind of a decent shot, with two ranks in Scrounger you'll quickly have hundreds of all the ammo types, and thousands of .38 ammo.
