".. My life, my life has been nothing but weaponry and war. I was born into a family of Brotherhood members back west. My father Pvt. Lance of the Brotherhood of Steel had left the Brotherhood back West, and desired a new life in the east. We arrived when I was 13 years old, by then I could scope Mole Rats from miles away with my M21. Things changed, my Father died from radiation. He, Captain Gallows, and Dusk were out looking for missing initiates. I.. I couldn't understand why. The Enclave, they returned and unleashed an array of atomic bombs from Old Olney to Evergreen Mills. Raiders, Deatchclaws, Civilians died. Gallows survived, but Dusk and My Father had fallen as heroes. I was thought the greatest virtue; moral or immoral was sacrifice. My Father had left me a pendulum that his Father had gave to him. I wear the pendulum every single day, knowing my Father his spirit is inside of it. My Mother is still alive, well I never refer to her as my Mother. The cold, heartless woman abandoned me, and if it wasn't for Gallows who would've known what of happened.. "
I'm now 21 years old, an Initiate in the East Coast Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel. I have two special abilities; Tank which is a codename for a person who specializes in Gatling Lasers, Flamers and Miniguns. The other ability is known as Eagle; where one relies on a pistol for his secondary weapon. I haven't written much, and maybe that's a good thing, but tomorrow a war rages; a war that will never be forgotten. Initiate, Chris Lance out.

22th of September, 2283.
I woke up, dazed and edgy. I peered around, and saw the initiates were gone. I stood up, and proceed into the Courtyard. Everyone was gathered round as Lyons spoke.
"Knights, Captains, Paladins, Initiates it doesn't matter your rank. Today is the most important day in your life. Fifteen years ago, The Lone Wanderer spared the life of Colonel Augustus Autumn. We were required not to shoot on sight. Autumn swore his ties with The Enclave were finished. Obviously, he lied. After fifteen years of hiding, he came out and has been declared The Enclaves new dictator. Fascism itself is a rare word, and this man knows what he's doing. We're outnumbered, outflanked. It doesn't matter. Pride and honour will guide us. If we die, we die heroes. But I require one of you to make the biggest sacrifice of all. One of you and a team of eight must enter the Enclave's new base in Hillman Air Base. There is a device, hidden that could stop the growth of Plasma technology and development. Mind you, this is a dangerous mission. And death is guaranteed for one of you only Knights, Captains and Paladins can accept the role of leading a troop."
I felt a great urge to speak up, and did so with ferocity.
"I disagree, my father died because of Autumn. He gave the orders, he is responsible. I will never be relieved of the pain of losing my Father unless he is dead. I got rid of almost the entire population of Deathclaws in Old Olney. I've become the fastest ranking initiate ever, and I'm due to become a Knight soon. Let me lead a team, let me bury the hate I've embraced for so long."
Lyons looked at me, confused but pleased.
"Ah yes, Chris Lance. The son of Gary Lance, you've made a name for yourself. I believe you'll surpass your father’s accomplishments. He was a great man, and always stood for what he believed in. I think you’re quite capable, so I grant you the task. Get your gear, and team ready for the Morning. You'll head off at dusk."
I smirked, and felt a great feeling.. a feeling of adrenaline.
"Thank you, sir."
I walked back to my headquarters, and surveyed my room. It looked different, an envelope was on my bed and I cautiously opened it. I began to read it.
To Alan Vance;
Well, Mr Vance. I've seen your work, and your motivation. I admire it, the sooner you realize I'm not the bad guy the better. I try to be rational, but we all know when Eden was holding my leash it wasn't possible. This war can be prevented, and The Enclave will back away, only if Elder Lyons is dead. You could the lives of many, and lose just one. Your choice, and don't worry I'll know when you've made up your mind. I have many eyes, and most of them you consider friends.
Signed; Colonel Augustus Autumn.
I sighed, and knew it was inevitable. I had to choose. Yes, killing Lyons would save the war from happening. But cold blooded murder is inhumane, I respect the man to much. I'll have to think about it. I'll go by one of the things my Father said. And make my decision in the morning, right now I feel my knowledge is fading away.
"Hate will guide you to defeat, follow your heart and you'll never go wrong."[/font]
