Having a problem in the Spinning dice

I am in debt, and I went into the basemant and after I talk with the dark elf lady there, she runs really fast (Miaq the Liar speed) to... I don't know I never find out (that and she gets stuck 9/10s of the time), and the game CTDs about 3 seconds after I talk to her.


Figured it out: Conflict with Unnecessary violence when dual-weilding.

Workaround: unequip EVERYTHING then talk to her.

First off, this is one of the greatest mods that I've ever had the pleasure of playing. I gave this file my endorsemant on tesnexus. So thank you for a job well done.

I am having problems with the dreaded giant exclamation marks.... They only occur in verona, and there were some in skingrad, as well, within the spinning dice building. It seems like it is mostly signs and wall decorations that are doing this. When I finally finished the quest and got access to the house, it was exclamation city on the inside. I have all my files extracted exactly as they are in the zip file. I dunno why its not loading the textures, they must be in the esp file, because I don't see them in any of the other folders. Does anyone have any advise as to what I should do to solve this problem? If it were only a few exclamations, then I probably wouldn't have mentioned it at all, but its almost impossible to see where you are going in certain parts of the house, because there are so many exclamation marks. Oh, and I'm very new to running these mods, so please bear that in mind when giving advise :)

I have the little problem that



arriving at the prison in the very first part of the quest, there is no guard to get the key from.. I have no way to get in.

any workaround possible?

Are you 100% sure that you are supposed to enter the prison now? If you are select the door with the console and type unlock.

Im stuck at the part where you have to get stuff from the accountant, only the letter on the main floor at the entrance and on 2nd floor by the blood is there, none of the others are anywhere in the house (i looted everything that wasnt bolted down to make sure) and the quest doesnt update at all. I tried doing setstage to advance but that royally messed it up and its completely broke now. Anyone know why the letters might not be in there?

I'm currently doing the "Burden of Debt" quest and am trying to speak with Valmar at midnight near the shed. He has no unique dialogue options, and only wants to talk about rumors or the prophet. I've tried playing through this, checking with the walk through as I go along and have gotten to the point of frustration. I''ve had to go into the CS and advance the stage a couple of times now after doing everything correctly. Also many issues with the voice acting regarding production.

No flames, just my $00.02.

Sorry I've been away for such a long time but I've only recently begun to recover from a very serious illness.
I hope to offer some more support in the near future

As part of my recovery program I've started playing games again.
It been nearly 8 months since I played anything.
I naturally turned to OB and VHB.
I spotted a good few errors which I will try to fix.

Two big issues I've come across are

1) The much vaunted problem with Marimar's topic disappearing.

This happens because the QUESTION topic appear too early in the MARIMAR dialogue.

There is no quick fix here.

For now Avoid the QUESTION topic until you have used both

Let's get down to Business
The Accountant.

Topics

You should see a new topic called Harold and can use the question topic safely

I plan an esp fix in the near future

In the 'fixed' version the question topic does not appear until then

It is a simple CS fix which I'll complete once I've finished the quests. ( If you can use the CS and want an early homebrew fix PM me and I'll send instructions)

For now the only solution to 'broke' games is to replay from before the initial meeting.

2)The second is a problem with General Sulla. I've spotted a potential issue if you have killed Athen Hewk or Athen is dead.

If you are stuck. The quick sort is to use

Setstage VHQ008 40


Green Bandit has produces a Normalised voice patch
Kudos to him for this. I'll incorporate this into a future update.

This solves 90% of the volume issues on the sound track.


As I recover I hope to work on a redux/deluxe version of VHB.

I plan to marry it to Dragon Caption and revamp the house interiors. I also plan to ditch High Infidelity as a quest and add a new dungeon crawl exercise. If I get time I'll add a final bonus quest. I plan for a Jan 4th release to mark the second anniversary.

Nice to see you dtom :) . I'm right now in the final stages of VHB (The general) and so far I've loved every bit of it. Congratulations, it is one masterful mod, and it is well appreciated that you keep on refining it.

I played through a long time ago, and VHB is no longer in my load order, but I encountered a problem with the alchemy storage (in the alchemy lab) in Verona House itself. I found that vanilla ingredients could be sorted ,stored and retrieved as intended, but with Shivering Isles ingredients I could place them into storage but could not retrieve them. I can't give you further info, such as load order, however I do know that I was using v12 of the mod, and yes, I was using the Shivering Isles version.

Just flagging this up in case it's a bug encountered by others and can be fixed.

An update would be great, this imo is one of the most under rated of the big quest mods and it deserves more attention.

hey, i liked this mod - the house is fantastic! i had a bit of a problem with the alchemy sorter as well...can't remember exactly what it was, but i just didnt use it after that so it wasnt a big deal.

just one wierd thing - is the latest version of this mod v12? for some reason in BOSS when i have the patch for one of the unique landscapes installed, it says 'install version 14 and deactivate the patch' or something like that. but i can't find a version 14?

Just wanted to chime in that I am happy to have you back on this mod. It has been in my load order since I discovered it more than a year ago. Unfortunately I have not yet experienced its quests since I have modded more than I have played, and not finished the MQ after I installed Verona Houses. I intend to do both with my current character though, and with RAEVWD and TESLODGen, I see the Town on the beach of Verona bay from a long distance, which reminds me of it (and adds something of interest in that places).

BOSS is a tool that automatically sorts your load order for you. A tool no mod-user should be without.

I haven't followed this mod in a long time, but it's still in my archives. I remember that it caused a seriously massive performance hit around Verona House, and I was wondering if that has been reduced, or if there are plans to, if it is possible. That's the one thing preventing my from activating this mod, as my laptop can't really handle thaht much of a drain. Otherwise, great mod (even if I never got very far in it).

Part of the fixing I did will help to address performance issues in Verona Bay. Don't expect miracles, but it has to be better than before now that so many buried rocks and plants are gone. Along with all the stray grass. :)
