I believe pre-war spring outfits are dresses. Get a nice pre-war bonnet to go with it, especially since she wears that ugly hood all the time.

This.

Oh and this:
Spoiler
Give her one of the dresses from the Ultra-Luxe and she'll teach you a special unarmed technique.

She also won't wear any dress you give her because her AI forces her to wear whatever has the highest DT in her inventory and her "stock" robes have a higher DT than the dresses you can find for her.

I'm not sure if you have to kill anyone for it or you can just find one... I've just heard.

I'll check around for maybe a video guide about it or something. :user:

EDIT: No video guides about it, however, threads on other forums suggest you can get a formal dress at the end of their quest line or you can just kill a White Glove Society member and take one.

There are no "dress" items. When a female equips formal wear, it becomes a dress.

Yup

Here's a detailed thing of what to do:

When doing the Beef mission drug the wine and have the waiter take it to the customers. Think you need like 25 to 30 medicine + morphin...I mean med-x to make it work. Once that is done rescue Ted and go down the hall to the private area and everyone will be asleep. One of the women will be wearing a formal attire wear which you can take from her. It is best to get that from her then complete the mission then go outside and give it to Veronica.

Also to note that when you give Veronica the item *Have to open her inventory and give it to here not through conversation* she will go through a chat speech saying thank you. She will then ask if you want her to teach you the Scribe Counter. At this point the screen will fade in then out, but it will not start a conversation back with her. It should also be noted that you will NOT I repeat NOT receive a prompt telling you that you learned the "Scribe Counter". It will however be under your perks in the Stats section of the pip-boy. Don't know why it doesn't give you a prompt saying you learned it like the ranger take down or the great khan trick, but *shrug*.

i picked up the Formal Wear from the dead white gloves people (wasn't me, honest) and Veronica was very excited. She showed her appreciating by teaching me how to "punch" however I checked perks afterwards and didn't see anything special. Anyone get anything to show for this?

It's there it maybe under "The Scribe Counter" instead of "Scribe Counter".

Can you give a DT value to a dress or spring-wear by using G.E.C.K.? It would be cool to give it 1 point more DT than her default robe just so she'd fight stuff while wearing a dress.

If you are playing the good guy in the quest, you can get a key from Mortimer to the Private Investigators room. If you go there, you are attacked by two WGS goons, and you can take their clothes. If you are playing the bad guy, I haven't found a way to get the dress without secretly killing someone. (I will sneak down to the lower level since I still have the kitchen key, and kill the guard in the hallway.) If someone knows how to get a dress without killing someone, I would like to know.

For PC users, there's a mod on the Nexus (http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34912) that will allow you to take Veronica's default robe and hood from her inventory.

LoL - me too!
I was disappointed that they would not put on Naughty Nightwear or sixy Sleepwear (either Veronica or Cass)...
But, life goes on. :P
I become quite attached to my companions, and I'm torn between these two women.
Likewise, I can't decide between my beloved ED-E and my new friend, Rex.
(Rex is pretty awesome, but I gave him right back to The King.)
Useful info about the dress, though - thanks. :)

Does Veronica have a bug with her special dress? I did Beyond the Beef at the UltraLux and made a point of picking up some formal wear. When I put it in her inventory nothing happens at all... In my first playthrough (where I wasn't using Unarmed and didn't care about getting her special move) I gave her a parksroller outfit and she was all excited and had dialog so I'm a little perplexed by this... Any ideas?
