Veronica's Quest item do you lose it?

When you get the pulse gun (or the other one I can't spell) do you give it to the elder and lose it for good or just show him? I've turned in the farming data before just no tone of the others.

You can get multiple Pulse guns, don't worry about it. The C-finder is s'posed to be one of a kind but last time i checked you can get multiple copy's of it, careful though it can get quite buggy.

I just completed Veronica's quest tonight and the Pulse Gun is still in my inventory after speaking with the Elder.

It was just Veronica and me on the quest and it really blew me away...how it all went down with the Paladins. She's staying with the BOS and still traveling with me.

And that is exactly why i go for the Pulse Gun :D

I don't really get how it kills people, though. EMP weapon would destroy the electronics in a Power Armor, but how does it kill? (Same thing with the Pulse Field in Operation Anchorage).

I thought it was the best one to do too but I never knew it was part of a quest other than the Sharecropper quest in the first game because I didn't have Veronica for a companion.

I never fired the Pulse Gun then because I was out of energy cells. I was surprised when it all went down and I quickly grabbed Thump Thump and kept firing and she kept hitting them. I had to use Stims so I didn't die and I still had Arcade's perk but the Pulse Gun didn't come into play for me. Next time I'll know to always keep it loaded. And I have no idea how it would kill...can't wait to see the answer. :)

Well, technically, your body does rely on electricity to a certain extent. I'm not a physicist, but I suppose an advanced EMP weapon could cause damage to the nervous system or the heart or something. But a burst probably isn't enough to fry your body's circuitry. You'd need a strong, sustained pulse of energy, I'd think, and in order to do that, you'd probably be also blasting the person with things like gamma rays or microwaves or something, that would cook the person.

In my understanding EM pulse causes a powerful surge of electricity in conductors, destroying electronics with over voltage like static electricity. If so, it would be harmless to living creatures. But i am no expert in EM weapons :D

I always thought the the EMP would fry the circuitry and overload the armors servos causing the armor to "spaz out" resulting in dismemberment and lots of broken stuff... would be a lot more messy than shown though.

Yeah, I have only ever done this quest with the Pulse Gun because I can never get her to tell me how to find farming equipment, and I never activate the C-Finder.

As for the Pulse Gun killing people in power armor: When someone is wrapped in metal, and you run a current over the surface of that metal, bad things happen to anybody touching the metal. Think "electric fence." (Admittedly, well-designed power armor would probably ground such electricity and insulate someone from exterior energy sources, but maybe there's some kind of "overloading" effect presumed.)
