What is GOW? I've never heard of anything called GOW that's related to BRINK.

a bit of clarification for you. for PC brink is going to be on steam. NOT gfwl. therefore the achievements that add to your "gamerscore" will not be present. there may be steam achievements we don't know.

also it is highly likely that there will be various modding tools and map-making tools for the pc. which means much greater longevity for the game.... the choice is yours... pointless achievements... or more maps resulting in more time playing a game... rather than going out and buying yet another boring generic shooter....

No achivements/ trophies for it on pc only on consoles. Pc would be a better choice if you have a good rig, SD might release a world editor thing so you can make maps and such and share with the community, and download maps, pc also has dedicated servers.

Im getting it for ps3 but if you got a awesome computer i would say get it for pc.

true PC has more possibilities but the console ones don't need any requirements where as PC may get real choppy and slow the 360 won't and the PS3 looks way different not 2 mention controller map outs although the PC (like TF2) is likely much much better.

i still went with 360.

umm what the f are u talking about right on the box for Brink retailers it says on the top left GAMES FOR WINDOWS. nice move there [censored] its going to be a steam download to GOW (games for windows) just like GTA4 and fallout 3. which is why many people dont download from steam if it links to games for windows i did that with GTA4 and it has many problems mainly signing in to a different xbox live account it then f***s up and many problems with the steam community and windows home.

Oh GFWL, I was wondering wtf GOW meant.
And yea if you have a good gaming PC then I recommend getting it on PC.
And achievements died a long time ago, I'm surprised people still play to get them.

Gears of Windows.
If it's a game I get super into, I'll try to get all the Achievements just to lengthen the games life.

Yea, but back then A LOT of people played to get achievements rather if they were into it or not. I actually used to be like that, now I don't care.

Yeah, same for me. I have Crackdown to thank. I spent well over 100 hours just [censored] around aimlessly with achievements out of mind.

Brink is NOT Games for Windows Live, it's Games for Windows, that just means the installer uses the Windows protocol and directory structure, ie: nothing in system files, it has nothing to do with Live

I really hope brink does not run on GFWL, steam is so much easier to use and its heaps better.

Back to the topic: Like most people said, if you have a good computer get it on computer. Better for online (dedicated servers), higher framerate, easier controls imo, better aim and no auto aim which is a pain in the ass.

Show some respect to the people trying to help you!
And what you say is Games for Windows is actually Games for Windows Live, Which Brink does not use.

Graphics will obviously have options, like 99% of (if not all) PC versions have. However, I think for consoles the framerate is actually locked at 30 for most games, while the PC are able to turn that into 30+ frames, depending on their rig.

like everyone has said: PC is good if you have a really good computer espiacially for FPS. But if your computer is like mine hten you would want a console. i have ps3. now the draw back to that is hte controls and SD is mostly a PC devoloper so they might come out with exclusive stuff.

Side note: i want a PC s bad cuz i wanna noclip stuff and hack my ps3. my regualr computer now would prob blow uyp. anybody know how to noclip??

Graphics-wise, there is rarely any difference between XBox and Playstation. The PS3-Hardware is mainly used (like: to the limits) in PS-exclusive games.

And if you go with console-ish graphic-settings on the PC, you can probably run the game on a low-end machine as well.

Brink is NOT Games for Windows Live, it's Games for Windows, that just means the installer uses the Windows protocol and directory structure, ie: nothing in system files, it has nothing to do with Live

And Games for Windows ensures further compatibility, with the XBox 360 gamepad for example.
