Pete Hines talked to CNN about Elder Scrolls vs. Game of Thrones.
Wow, that was a worthless fluff piece...even for CNN.
Again, he's the head of PR. He's supposed to make Beth and Skyrim look good.
didn't we at one point have a thread just dedicated to all Jack's random links as to avoid the flooding of the board?
what happened to that..?
This. I actually felt my years slipping away as I read it.
I stopped reading at "Elder Scrolls Online".
The Elder Scrolls is like the Boondock Saints. It's no longer special.
This x 100000000000000000000000000000000000000
I would agree with that, possibly in a manner that involves the use of one word which is used to indicate a specific thing just mentioned.
Remember!
Not everything has to be like something else, nor does it have to compete! It's OK to be original!
Care to elaborate? I would like to know more about the saints
"This public service announcement was brought to you by Slim Shady. Little did you know, upon purchasing this album, you have just kissed his ass. Slim Shady does not give a [censored] what you think. Slim Shady is fed up with your [censored] and is going to kill you. Anything else?"
The Boondock saints used to be one of those little niche movies that after a few years of word of mouth became a mainstream movie. TES used to be like that.
"lolwut? Morrowwut?"
Suggesting that the fact the series is well known and very popular is bad? The series was never exactly a hipster niche you know.
Series? Wasn't there only like one movie, then a sequel like 5 10 years later?
EDIT: Correction, the sequel was a decade apart. I guess I have bad memory there. I thought it came out in 2005 or 2006.
I made the correction, thanks. Hey your PSA style of posting was actually very helpful today. Thank you.
We're one of "the most dedicated fanbases in all of enterainment"? Uhh, is that good or bad?
Agreed. The series was just never on the right platforms to garner the attention it needed. And once it was on the right platforms, it wasn't speaking to those platforms properly. Fallout 3 was the first Bethesda title to do that. Skyrim hit the nail on the head, though.
Yep. Didnt think I needed to clarify that.
Well, derp on me.
It's just I remember showing people I knew in pre-Oblivion days Morrowind and they lacked interest and never heard of it. Then in early 2012 those same people are asking me, "Have you heard of Skyrim? It's awesome!".
