No. Go watch porm. Not needed in a video game and it would just be a really dumb move on Bethesda's part.

Having worked as a nurse for 28 years, I've seen all the nvde folks I care to see in one lifetime and let me tell you, if you want reality in your game, the nudity would be a sight for sore eyes. Most folks don't have good looking bodies when naked I assure you.

A game that shows a contextual nudity of characters that aren't physically attractive at all would gain all my respect. Not everyone wants videogame nudity for a sixual value, as I wrote in my previous post. I like nudity in Bethesda's games because it feels natural. Artistical, in a way. Even more so if it's not limited to showing goodlooking bodies. There's artistical beauty in indulging in wrinkles or fat.

Well, it's called a "fantasy" :hubbahubba:

Personally i don't expect anything to change. Characters will have unremovable underwear, nvde body mods will be one of the first mods made, and one of the first ones used by me :D

And no, my chracaters don't run around naked, but role applicable armor. In Oblivion that was light armor for my assassin and heavy armor for my Spellsword. HGEC fitting, but not "bikini" ones ;)

This would give Skyrim an AO rating by the ESRB... no retailers would carry it.

Sigh... Isn't America backwards? Everyone is cool with their kids shooting people in the face on Call of Duty, but as soon as there's a PG-13 love scene in Mass Effect, everyone freaks out.

Murder is not the National hobby, just because we attacked two civilian targets with Nuclear weapons, have been in a lot of armed conflicts, and have an impressive homicide rate doesn't mean we like murder.

lets stay off the politics, it's off-base and inappropriate for the forums.

Nudity was in God of War, and Dante's inferno, why not here? I get the ESRB thing, but I mean It's not like it's a six scene or anything.

I'd be fine with it, it's like the nudity on old structures.

I don't think it's essencial, but I would like to see it anyway, just to annoy the hell out of puritans. I miss the time when Bethesda was a small artsy studio and had the guts to include nudity in their games. But now it's just impossible. Things got so big after Morrowind, I really doubt any company would be willing to deal with conservative housewives barking about satanic pormographic games like Mass Effect on Oprah. Or maybe those hypocrite lawsuits filed by people offended by nipbles, let alone something else. It's just bad business. Better let fans implement them, two days after the game is released.

Even though I'm not necessarily "Of Age" To view this kind of stuff (17, you're supposed to be 18), I'm okay with it.

It's not like it's a six scene or anything.

As an underaged fellow, would you be opposed to waiting to get the game until you're 18 for this to be in the game?

I use better bodies but the underwear edition.

I don't think nudity is needed in this game. I am a Christ follower and as such I think lust is sin. I have enough trouble going through my day without having impure thoughts about women (with billboards and commercials and evony banners on every website :P) and I don't want to face it in my games. I try to keep that crap out of my head.

As such, you may not agree with why I dislike nudity in games, but I also feel it is a very cheap tactic to try to get more sales. While you may argue that nudity is more realistic, not all realistic aspects of life make it into a game. If you really want naked people, there are many ways to feed that addiction.

Games are pushing the boundaries of ratings too. Would this be a mature rating? I thought a game with nudity would be AO. That would be a huge blow to Bethesda as Oblivion was targeted as a teen game.

Almost without a doubt these better bodies mods will be some of the first to hit tesnexus. Just wait for those and leave the game at a mature rating.

Nudity, six, gore, whatever, doesn't bother me and it makes the game more real and RPG because you have the option if you want it.

However, what I want and what makes business sense is two different things. People seems to be more okay with cutting someone in pieces then showing a six scene. I find that ironic, but society is what it is. Thus, on the business sense, I think it is better for Bathesda to let the Mod community take over that aspect, so that they can sell their game (which it is in our best interest for them to make a lot of money so that they can build even a better game) in places that are a bit more controlling.

Whether is it backwards thinking or not doesn't matter. It's sure improved in this attitude since I was a child. We've come a long way baby. In the 50's and early 60's it was not allowed to show a married couple sleeping in the same bed in pajamas on TV. (I Love Lucy and The dike Van Dyke Show) Marylin Monroe caused a stir just by having her dress fly up and showing some leg. We have progressed from there but it is a slow process in a prudish country and I assure you it won't come full circle with the release of one video game with nudity. You and I and all they kings men can't make this attitude go away overnight. And I do not want one of my favorite series to go down because of something like this.

Do you think it would be wise? Do you think suddenly a nation full of sixual prudish folks would change their minds if the risk was taken by a game company? The only way we have gotten to where we are today is through years of slow change. We need to keep that slow change going.

And by mentioning shooting people in the face in games do you want them to suddenly say, "OK, nudity is fine now but no shooting in games and no blood." Would we want to lose that aspect of gaming because we pointed it out to them? That just plays into the hands of folks like Jack what's his name. If the answer is not, I would stop making statements like that as it could result in a backwards spiral that is to big to stop and we'd end up with only Mario to play.

Oh yes, I still want to stress the irony that people would see six as a worse thing than gore in a game. "Oh my, a pair of briast, that is terrible! I don't want to see those when I'm disemboweling on enemy."

I remeber when I was a teen that my parents would allow me to watch rater R movies like Meatballs and Porkey, and my best friends mother would complain about that...yet his son would be allowed to watch Friday the 13th and all of those horror movies.

I can assure you that I turn out much normal that he ever did. Anyhow, just my $.02 .

I don't really care so much if the nudity aspect was in or out. I have never wanted it before, having it in would add to the realism but does it really need to be there? I dont think it does.

I think if it was to be included then fine, but wouldn't mind if it wasn't.

If one company does it in a game, especially a game that's fairly popular like The Elder Scrolls, it seems likely that others will feel more comfortable following and it will progress things faster. It IS important for them to include nudity. It's because people aren't doing it that this issue with it keeps existing. People have to be wise and take action against the state of things now. The more games with nudity the more people will be positively conditioned to view it in the context of gaming and outside of gaming as just ordinary, not a concern.

and why should we be conditioning people to believe it's ordinary in gaming. I don't think that should be a point at all. In most games I would say ABSOLUTELY NO NUDITY, but in TES I think it's acceptable. More often than not it WILL take away from the gameplay. I don't think it would here. Plus people aren't wrong to want to not have nudity in their games.

So you want to play into the hands of folks who want all such things in games removed? Because there are many, many people who want to see neither. These sorts of statements give those people ammo to use in further censoring games. Be very careful with that. Let's not get more ripped out because we want nudity. Don't we want more freedom instead of less in our games?

I don't want anything get removed. What I'm saying is that first, it is is silly that society sees six worse than violence. 2. If the developers want to include it in the game and mark it mature, they should be able to make that decision, regardless if it is gore, violence, nudity or six. They are the artist, and they should choose what works or not for their art form. 3. I see six, violence, and gore, and it doesn't shake my morality nor those it change my approach to b a good person or citizen. however, it does change few people becuase they are week.

So in conclusion, I don't want to have anything removed, and want to give the freedom to the artist to choose. If it makes people squimish or upset, then don't buy the game. Like I said in a previous post, the artist will also have to make a decision if their freedom of expression is more important than their ability to pay their bills, and that is a question that they need to answer..not us.

It would only move the game from Teen to Mature, or even advlts only. This would restrict sales and force Bethesda to spend less money on developing the game as a consequence of them earning less money due to more restrictive sales. This would reduce the quality of the game, less dialog, less detail, more bugs, less everything good. Nudity mods have always been made for all Bethesda games, that vastly improves the original body mesh and texture. This is doubly so in Oblivion where mods allowed you to chose everything from female bust size, the the size of muscles. I don't much care for seeing nudity, in fact i'd prefer not too,i have a perfect understanding about what the female body looks like, and a pretty good idea on what the male body looks like. It doesn't really bring anything to the game for me, because most mods are only for user immersion and thus left up to the imagination of the user, and because i almost always keep my clothes on i don't really notice the naked factor.

I don't really 'mind' it, i guess other people like running around naked and such, Just like in life there is an option of being naked, and not being naked. Of course unlike like, being naked in the game isn't against the law, you don't get cold, you don't have an imperfect body, and it doesn't emotional scar others...or make the 14 year old boy point and laugh while screaming "boobies" to his friends.
