a very controversial, but popular, topic

BTW, Bethesda would probably just make the least realistic nvde bodies ever.

:lmao: That is a point to consider.

Em, no. It'd be interesting only the first time, or if you had a "Remove everythig from NPC" spell, which would be SOOOOOOOOO broken.

It's not gonna happen, sadly there's too many people who still find nudity offensive in this modern age, it's silly but that's life.

I'd like to see it happen, everyone who keeps bringing up immersion should want it to happen. I can't remember anything that broke immersion more than looting the veryr evealing armor off a raider in Fallout 3, only to have a t-shirt magically appear. It's silly.
What I normally do is install a nvde body mod for female characters and one wearing voxers only for men, I know that may seem hypocritical when I say nudity doesn't offend me, but I don't see why that has to mean I want to see some digital wang.
Regardless, I'll be using mods to correct it, my game will be played my way.

To any console gamers who want nudity added for reasons beyond "Huhhuh, boobs! ", sorry, not gonna happen any time soon.

Im all for it, but Im a blase European who thinks all bodyparts are comparable to a nose or ears, nothing to freak out about, only natural.

But the game is made in America and for some reason Americans are more uptight about these things.
As was very noticable when Janet Jackson had a 'wardrobe malfunction' and none of us Europeans understood what the big deal was, but it was the talk of the month in the states.
Ive played Daggerfall and I dont think Bethesda has a problem with the human body, but the people that censor the media in America do. And I dont think they could get the game passed censorship so it can be sold to as many people as possible if it included nudity.

So I think that it would be best left to the modding community, and in the vanilla game it would make more sense for Bethesda to make NPC's wear underwear.

At least until the Americans grow up a little and realise censorship is a great evil, I think this is the way to go.

Hear hear, my thoughts exactly...which should be fairly obvious as I put the quote last, but whatever.
Good example by the way, I can vouch for that, I honestly did not see what the big deal was. It's weird how people think children should not see boobs...I shouldn't have to explain why.

Of course you should be able to be completely 'nvde' in Skyrim. People always suggest modifications will add 'nudity' so it doesn't matter anyway or it shouldn't be added because it can be added for those that want it on the PC through modifications, but not everyone will be able to get the PC version. The largest audience of people are still buying The Elder Scrolls for the consoles. Besides, those modifications made by people wouldn't be considered canon. It would be nice to see the ones behind the game designing the 'nudity.'

Since for some reason it's still an issue for people, there should be an option in the menu to turn on and off all 'nudity.' It could be defaulted as turning all 'nudity' off, and would make it exactly like Oblivion where the underwear/bra cannot be taken off and also for people being looted it would not remove their underwear/bra. Additionally, if there is a mission like in Oblivion where your character is supposed to be 'nvde' (the mission where you get your clothes removed in the Mage's dream world) it would enact it like Oblivion where everything but the underwear/bra is removed.

It's hilarious because nudity isn't even real as people perceive it. It's just a culture concept ingrained from conditioning that makes people believe a nose is somehow different from a 'taboo' part. In reality, they're just different functional body parts but for some odd reason one is acceptable and friendly and the other is non-acceptable and 'sick.' If there wasn't that early age conditioning and beyond, all parts of the body would be perceived equally and normal. And then people wouldn't be having debates over nudity, because it wouldn't exist. It'd be non-existent, and in Skyrim the idea of removing all clothes or looting someone and all their clothes being taken off wouldn't elicit a feeling response of something 'to worry about.' But it's important that game designers start pushing comfort levels already so these empty conditionings can be erased and people start to become aware that reality isn't contained to the social construct by culture, but is rather infinite in extent.

Sorry, but in a world where a guy getting his head cut off is more acceptable than a pair of [censored], this just won't happen.

I find boobs tasteless, and mainly enjoyed by the....well people like you. No offense. Maybe it's because I'm ex-military as to why I don't have a strong, gross, reaction. It's just normal. I think the girls should have underwear as well, and we "could" choose to undress those we kill as much as any guy character....necromancy would be a bit creepier that way, but hey it's your necro-harem if you want it :shakehead:

Good point!(:P) Speaking of necro-harems if you happen to have one I'm sure you'd be very unpopular and you might have family members of those dead try and kill you, the guards won't like it either, not to mention you'd have many people who just object to you having undead wenches living in your mansion, however you might be able to develop a cult of followers. (A bit of radiant AI role playing aspect of the game)

From the screenshots in GI the body looks okay as is - I don't expect nudity from the devs - I would appreciate that after 200 more years in the TES world that they improved the sackcloth underwear.

I think the option for no underwear would hurt Skyrim's reception among the general public and give it a lot of bad press. People tend to overreact on this kind of issue.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if it was in, but if it's gonna make Bethesda lose revenue, leave it out.

Yeah it's like that one game called Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with the Hot Coffee issue. You ever heard of it? I didn't think so it hardly sold any copies at all.

However....that would make for a wickedly evil sorceress. I'd have to kill her to get her to wear some less revealing attire. (Once again, in Morrowind you could unload your items onto the enemies and dress them)

Isn't Skyrim going to have witches? Between their prominence in such classics as Macbeth, not to mention Bloodmoon, I'd think we should encounter some more half-naked Nords out in the cold.

Hot coffee was discovered after the game was published, and lead to the game being temporarily pulled from store shelves, re-rated to Ao temporarily, and several attempts at legal action. To rockstar's credit, Hot coffee also was not enabled by default, and was only uncovered once modders discovered the code for it.

Dead Wrong

The Better Bodies mod was to introduce just that: Better Bodies, with more realistic proportions, higher poly models, and skin deform rather than the ugly, seamed modular bodies of the vanilla game. There were nvde and non-nvde options, so you could have better bodies with the default underware, or without if that was what you wnted (but that was not the point of the mod).

This.

I'm sure the bodies will look much better in skyrim. As for nudity, it's not gonna happen. Just wait for a mod dude.

No underwear? In Skyrim!?

Hell no! I want my character to have long underwear, woolly underwear or that https://d3qcduphvv2yxi.cloudfront.net/assets/436296/lightbox/b85639db1420f2ccda70e5b3be42ffa4.jpg?1276998984!

i want nudity on creatures that need nudity

look at oblivions spider daedra- that thing was meant to be topless

Agreed. Otherwise, complete nudity for PCs/NPCs is more trouble than it's worth.

despite everyones actualities... better bodies was actually made for nudity...how do i know...they took the time to actually make it... nobody wants to see naked oblivion bodies so they had to improve that bodies to look better... i mean seriously. better bodies can be done just as easy without MAKING it so that underwear can come off. I guarantee u the majority of downloads came from people wanting nudity. Its pretty ridiculous. And lets not turn TES into a game of bad taste with nudity. Getting it banned and u wuld definitely get it rated A for advlts. since not even gta has any real nudity.

I would like better textures and different underwear. Wierd how everyone wears a loin cloth under their clothes wether their wearing silk or raggs.

Nudity? Not needed for the game and would only lead toward angry dumb parents(who should actually start parenting) causing problems and less sales for Beth due to countries with stricter maturity ratings.
