A very controversial, but popular, topic #2

,,,
Also, running around naked isn't realistic, it's childish!

So what's your point? What are children known for? Having fun. What are games for? To have fun. So if you want to do something childish because it's fun why is that considered a bad thing?

Yeah....if you're going to dodge a question, try not to bounce between arguments you're making. I can't take you seriously if you're going to do this.

Yeah...sure. and I've yet to finish The Witcher because a dryad came up to me in her full splendor  . Fine, I generally do not like seeing naked people in games. I can make exceptions, if it makes sense, but what seems to what is being said, that isn't the case. Also, if there are going to be naked people, I fully expect there to be revolting and naked monsters in their full splendor. I know I had to deal with the devourers in The Witcher, and they're brain bleach material. Imagine fighting a group of dark grey witches, who are extremely fat and old, and are completely naked.

I'll bet you your house, your family, and all the income you might make in the future that the OP doesn't, now come down to Texas and check the PC.

Then why do you insist in nudity?

No question dodge, my complete answer would be nudity isn't childish, running around naked sure it is. Is there something wrong with that, well I answered the question what's inherently wrong with playing in a childish way, it's your game.

And yet, none of your stated actions are actually realistic... and right now, you are coming across as very creepy if you believe any of the aforementioned actions are realistic or mature. - Stripping living people naked against their will while they're unconscious/helpless?! Collecting Used Underwear to appease some freaky fetish!? WTF MAN?!

Does it not occur to you that, on a whole, nudity is considered offensive by the vast majority of people?

And I don't see Skyrim having the proper context for nudity. This is about Conan, Garrick, Gandalf, or some crazy combination of the above (Complete with Distaff Counterparts) on out Kicking Ass, Crawling Through Dungeons, Tossing Fireballs Around, and Taking Everything that Isn't Being Watched. It's not some deep philisophical piece of art asking "What is the meaning of Life, The Universe, and Why I Can't Get Laid?"

Well I don't insist upon it, I just think it's good to have a discussion about it, as I said I don't want it in the game, because it wouldn't be good business. In fact I won't even be able to mod it in because I'm getting it for the PS3. However I think it adds a very nice touch to the game, I find the "six" mods way to crude and crass and abhor them. Here is one reasons (which I stated before but will happily restate) that I think it'd add a nice flavor "And I can totally agree - both nakedness and sixy clothing should be used in appropriate context. The naiad in the Witcher comes to mind - she was totally naked, but she was a water nymph, so why woun't she be? She looked beautiful and mystical walking in the water in the moonlight - it added to a beauty and mystery of the world, reminded you that there was things there that did not try to crawl out of the swamp and kill you And it was although appropriate because she was one of a kind - she did mention having sisters but we never so them, if the game where filled with naked naiad everywhere it would have cheapened it a great deal, but one - added a lot" This was a comment from a female friend of mine who like me really enjoys classic RPing and think the human body can add beauty to a piece of art, how detailed is beside the point, I don't need to see every last hard or a detailed male part, but something like BBs mod isn't too bad, I only feel bad for the wood elves, they get so picked on.

Most people (Like myself) have beliefs or a hatred for nudity. It is universally deplored among the developed world. (And many undeveloped places as well.) Nudity is also unrealistic. Who would run around in Skyrim of all places with no clothes on?

I'm not for, but will accept carefully done six scenes, but what is the point of stripping a corpse down to the skin? It won't make the game any more realistic or mature. I don't buy games to see nudity, I buy games that have incredible open-worlds with lore. I HATE having to steer clear of areas just because they have too much six.

Could it be because its possible for people to look at a naked body without immediately equating it with six?

All throughout history the nvde human body has been a very important subject in the arts. To think that its impossible to a video game to handle it in an artistic (i.e. not creepy) manner is to assume that video games are not, and never can be, as mature as other art forms. To prove otherwise, some games are going to need to take the plunge and just incorporate it.

Like I said earlier though, there is basically a 0% chance that Skyrim will have nudity in it. I'm sure Bethesda hasn't forgotten about their mishap with the ESRB over Oblivion and will probably be very careful when it comes to material that might give them the dreaded AO rating.

I am totally indifferent. I don't think it would really help immersion in any major way, nor do I think that excluding it will have any detrimental impact on the game. I have a feeling that nudity will not be included, though, since it would probably spark some unwanted controversy.

If Underwear's enchantable, it becomes outright silly (The Brassier of Elemental Summoning, anyone? The Bra of Holding? Mighty Tighty-Whities? Thong of Shielding?), and discussion of character optimization

Repetitious thread and repetitious arguments are repetitious.

I think the "discussion" has gone on long enough, don't like the defensive tone some of you are taking and some of these posts are making my finger twitch above the warn button. I'll save you all a warning and me some work.
