My very honest opinion!

I am hugely dissapointed win fallout 4. I am a huge fan and have been since the first game but this one took it tumbling downhill. I own in on PS4, the graphics are not that good, mediocre at best compared to how Bethesda made it look and sound. The story line was terrible, there was no emersion, there was no sentiment, it was dull and just ends abruptly with not knowing what was going to happen next as you feel as if you didn't achieve anything at all for the wasteland except kill a bunch of beings.

The dialogue is terrible compared to previous games as you don't know what your character is going to say and you get forced into doing things no matter what you say, so as Bethesda said "player freedom" there is no freedom as you get forced into situations you can't make proper decisions about what YOU want to do. The crafting was fun and the settlements were fun but it felt like there was no point to them!as they have no place in the main story. The weapons had a lot of mods but they were too few weapons, the weapons that they had were awesome. The clothes were good but there could have been more, it was all the same as fallout 3. The wasteland was dull and boring, I fast traveled everywhere because I didn't want to walk a boring place as there was nothing interesting to see or to do except kill things. The creatures were BORING, WHY CAN'T THEY UPDATE THE MONSTERS!? They could have put all new monsters in but instead, they took monsters out like gecko lizards and such. That makes it boring because it just feels like fallout 3 and there is nothing new. The wasteland's diamond city was terrible, it was tiny, new Vegas was much, much better than this. Diamond city has about 6 shops, a mayors office, some pointless buildings and that's it. Why can't I fly a vertibird? Or build a car? Why can't you guys put soemthing like that into the game instead of making something more boring than fallout 3. I am really, really dissapointed in this game and my expectations were much higher. They could have made a much better game with all the money that they make from it. I can't be the only one who feels this way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating because I'm a HUGE fan and have been since he fallout 3. Just a very dissapointed fan because they spent years making this and it is not as good as it should've been.

I find most of your critiques pretty redundant. That info was fairly clear from the e3 reveal and then from the hordes of gameplay on YouTube from the moment of release. Your basically a misinformed customer, you could have taken more initative with your money but you didn't. So who's really to blame?

as a PS4 user, you shouldn't judge about graphics :/

Fallout 4 on PC looks better than any game that I saw on the consoles... it's already impressive that the outdated consoles are able to handle and load the Fallout world with so many small items like tin cans, bottles a.s.o.

Diamond City may be small, but it's just a very small part of the whole Boston City which is several times bigger than Vegas was... I really like what they did to the world ^^

You might've seen more of it, if you hadn't used fast travel all the time :D

The creatures have mostly a new appearance and new interesting animations... there is even a lot of new stuff, such as the Mirelurk queen, which make the game more interesting but don't take away from the lore... having Geckos in Boston would be a bit weird :D

I bought the game because I am a huge fan, I bought it on release day. But it was disappointing. E3 shows you the "best bits", it doesn't give a full view of the game like when you're playing it. And why would I watch gameplay when I already had the game on release day? Not misinformed. But they say it's all new blah blah. But it isn't, yes there are a lot of good things but the characters are dull, there is no emotion. For the billion dollars they make, they could have made it much much better than what it was. In future if you don't have a decent reply, don't reply. I don't want [censored] just saying they love it and ignoring the obvious flaws that there are.

Haha, I'm not saying put geckos in it馃槀 I'm just saying they could have added new monsters instead of old ones. And I didn't fast travel all the time, at the start that's all I did to level up fast, I explored and spent hours and hours and hours and hours exploring but then I used fast travel cause I had seen it all and it bored me to walk around everywhere. All there was to do was kill stuff. I do like the big monsters they had like swan and mirelurk queen and such. Yes diamond city is small and I know it is only a part of Boston city but I still think as the major city in the game they could have done more. I don't know if it's just me but that's just my honest opinion, still a huge fan though and I'll still buy the next one.

There would not be Gecko's in Boston but I suppose its not obvious that a creature found out west should not be found in a cold weather climate.

You really should not "Fast Travel" in a Bethsada game your really missing out on what is so grand about them when you do that.

A lot of your complaints will be addressed by mods in coming year so whatever.

I wasn't a fan of FNV, story felt weak and the whole of that game at that point is just talking heads supporting a weak story....To top it off FNV hasn't got Fo4's enhanced gameplay features and FNV didn't have a lot of interesting combat areas...Fo4 has tons of interesting Combat Areas and no shortage of interesting places to see.

Its graphics on my computer well they are quite good with the right hardware so no I cant say Im as let down as others come off as in this department.

We're comparing DIamond City to New Vegas? PAH! New Vegas was a DWARF and terribly disappointing. The only thing worse than New Vegas was Rivet City; talk about an utter JOKE.

Diamond City at least started to get close to my expectations.

Bethesda aren't going to reveal their game at e3 with a showcase of the worst bits are they. The honus is on you to make an informed purchase, and not trust the word of the salesman. It's especially easy for video games because you can see the entire product the instant it's released through YouTube. All I'm saying is you really have no justification as you chose not to look in to the product and just bought it based off expectation. It really irks me that so many people are expressing 'disappointment'. Your disappointed with your own expectations, which were uninformed. It's not Bethesda who has pitched one product and sold something entirely different. Hats off to Bethesda for being one of the few companies to actually do a proper gameplay reveal and not some cgi sequence that gives you no impression.

You just posted exactly the same thing (except you added the first paragraph) under "My Honest Opinion".

We get it. You did not like F4 and you love New Vegas.

Go away.

Also vegas is vegas, Diamond city is literally in the confines of a ballpark stadium.

If somebody knows of a ballpark stadium thats larger then the Las Vegas Strip, i'd like to know about it.

Graphics on pc are amazing but that's expected if you have the proper hardware. Plus FO4 seriously lagged on ps4 in some places and frame rate drops. I love the combat, the combat was amazing, shooting was much better and I didn't feel the need for VATS much as it was more fun just to blast everything in my way.

I agree with you about FNV, but fallout 3 was amazing IMO. Yes the gameplay in FO4 was good, movement, and such was great. I'm a little dissapointed you can't see guns on your back anymore :(

And like my last reply I didn't mean put geckos in, just some fresh creatures instead of super mutants all the time.

I do hope the mods and such will answer most of my questions, hopefully the DLC will also put my mind at ease.

I always wish for one of the fallout games to include a zoo. Filled with the mutated remnants of the animals we once knew. (Atleast the ones that survived.)

Most of the mammal pens would be wiped out, but the reptile and insect paddocks would be craaaazy!

Oh dude, there will be way more monster's than you know what to do with, there are modders already making outfits, guns, and monsters for this game just waiting to place them in when the Construction Kit (Geck) lands.

Seriously there will be so many weapons and monsters you wont know what to do with yourself.

Customs will come in all flavors, hopefully we get a lot more uh non-slooty options this go around.

Quest Mods are also pretty popular at least these days more mod authors seem to have a knack for it.

Location Mods, Oh my god...Its like an art form for some of these people your going to see all sorts of neato player housing and interesting towns sprout up all over your wasteland.

I am not finding anything to dislike, it's my opinion on what could have been a better game instead of a good game. I'm not trolling, I'm just saying what people that are Bethesda fans that just won't say. I didn't say I don't like the game, there is a big difference between dissapointment and dislike. How is anyone supposed to make a game better if everyone just says "yeah that'll do, we liked it". The only way a game gets better is by critiquing its faults.

Plus anyone who is a fallout fan knows the dialogue was disappointing 馃檭

It seems like Bethesda just leaves most of the extra stuff to modders like on skyrim, why couldn't they just do it themselves?

I have my handful of things I would like to see improved/changed myself. But overall the game exceeded my already very hyped expectations.

I played Fallout 1, 2, 3, and NV before this, and I love the dialog and talking character. I only wish we had more options as to what we can say. But again, every interaction in Fo4 has voices, and allows us to respond in different ways albiet sometimes similar options delivered differently. Fallout 1, and 2 interactions were primary delivered through text to text interactions, and there were far fewer talking heads NPCs, then silent ones.

Fallout 3, and NV interaction often went along the lines of executing every single option in the dialog tree they could say to you, then moving on. They were information dumpsters, they didn't behave like people. When people compare what you could say in one to the other, they often neglect to tell you, "hey once you pick one of these options in Fo4, the NPC moves the conversation on, you aren't supposed to say all of them within one play through." Yet people continue to treat it that way.

And so did I because I am a huge fan. But I did my research, and I knew exactly what I was getting, another Bethesda game that fits my playstyle. I really don't get this "I bought the game and don't like it" mentality. If you're going to spend $60 do your homework first. I always do.

My impression of New Vegas is that it was just a hollywood set with a bunch of actors to make it look like a city. Where it looks great from far away, but when you get up close you can see it is just paint and plywood. Diamond City actually seems like an actual community even if it is in a stadium.

Graphics are good considering the engine and the interactive enviorment.

The story was meh. beginning started off strong but fell in quality towards the end.

Dialogue was a good idea on paper but badly implanted into the game.

Monster design is great don't know what you're talking about.

Diamond city is a large and open settlement compared to new vegas which is dwarfed by its size.

Here are my ansewers to your post OP. :)
