Witcher 3 is highly overrated.
Witcher 3 is highly overrated.
The reason why Fallout 4 did so much better than Witcher 3 in terms of sales is due to bewbies and disturbing content like the Baron's quest. That quest can certainly mess you up. According to far too many parents, having their kids dismember a raider with a missile launcher is perfectly fine, but show a briast and we have to ban the game in some countries. Just look at how much flak Mass Effect got for their romance scenes and that is with everything being covered up.
More like according to you. That would mean the parents know about what inside their game beforehand. Most parents don't even bother with that. Plus, most gamers on console nowadays are young advlts and middle aged rather than kids, and a significant amount of people who own consoles are now women. ME1 was one of the first few games who do that, so they get some flakes, nowadays games like DAI show boobs, lisbian six, etc, and it doesn't even appear on the news.
I played about 100 hours each of Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 and I think they are both great games, but Fallout 4 is my choice because I love the apocalyptic theme. I just can't get enough!!
I dont think we should be trying to justify the amount of bugs the game has. It really is bad for current gen games to be as buggy as FO4 was. That's my only real gripe about the game and only real wish for their future games.
Who in here is bashing FO4? Ive read through the whole thread and it seemed like a simple discussion of why Witcher might have won a few more GOTY awards, which seems pretty relevant to the topic.
I agree with your sentiment but don't get why you say it here lol.
Fallout 4 wins my heart because....
FREEDOM
Guys who judge the game by the mount of sells, you forgot one important point about the selling of Fallout 4
THE NAME. Is a Fallout game and is enough for assure millions of sells in a short period. So many people buy game without read forum or reviews or just hope the mods will fix all the flaws in the game.
Because it's not only here, it's everywhere youtube, other threads, gamefaqs, ign.
There has always been a double standard in America when it comes to violence and nudity. Fallout 4 has the following for its ESRB rating, Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Use of Drugs while Witcher 3 has the following for its ESRB rating, Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong sixual Content, Use of Alcohol. It doesn't matter if it is a parent buying the game for their kid or a young advlt, lots of people look at the ESRB rating to make their decision.
And you must have done extensive research on this with data from everyone.
You think young advlts are kept from buying a game because it has "Nudity" and "Strong sixual Content" as label? The world must have changed since I was a young advlt.
That the USA has a double standard for six and violence is known and ridiculed here in Europe over and over but I don't think it's the main reason for better or worse sells. There may be many reasons why games are bought or not. Although I like medieval/fantasy settings I don't buy The Witcher 3 because you have to play the witcher instead of being able to make your own char. Quite simple.
It's only positive when Bethesda, one of the three companies whose games I play, gets lots of money out of FO4. I hope for a mindblowing TES VI for PC. And I'm willing to pay insane amounts of caps for FO4 DLCs.
Yes I polled every single person in the world for something that has been shown far too many times in history.
There is far too much exposure to violence in American culture. We are exposed at an early age to violence as kids in our cartoons. Our shows and movies are full of violence compared to romance. How many romantic scenes are there in GI Joe, TMNT, Transformers, Power Rangers, and Pokemon compared to violent scenes? In America, violence is acceptable while nudity is not while in other countries, it is the other way around.
Relax. Partly at least. While the USA is the most violent country, considering crime, of the western industrialized states, it's much more peaceful there than in most other countries of the world. Homicide rate in Russia for example is double that of the USA but you read comments of Russians on the Internet disgusted by crimes and gun culture in the US. Humans are quite subjective quite often.
It's good to see people from parallel universe to come and visit.
I am sorry to break it to you, but you might have traveled to a parallel universe. You might want to compare the history of this world to what you remember. The actual reason for History class is Dimensional Travel Survival. The first step in getting back home is to realize you are in a parallel universe. Did you see any portals, talk to strange travel agents, or any other unusual events in the past few years?
True enough. America is never as bad as how the media portrays it. Although the saturation of violence in American media would explain a lot about certain problems America has.
Doing better then COD. Win for the game's industry.
My money says they are already way into making it.
Didn't they say they're not gonna do anything on it until they're done with Fallout 4? With that much money, I hope they could get more manpower to work on their games. They open a new studio; I'm not sure if it's to work on TES or a different game.
Ok folks, drop the real world political Pro/Anti American and universal discussion and talk about the game or we lock and warn.
I agree it is very cool, but it's NCR armor specifically I believe, so we wouldn't see it on the east coast.
Yes. Yes it does. Apparently. It's the same thing on all the forums. Witcher fans bash ALL other games. Of course they also bash Witcher. And tit-for-tat, fans of other games ash Witcher.
I love Witcher BTW.
ANTHROPOID OI! OI! OI! with a UK Subs rhythm
Having a blast with FALLOUT 4. Pretty stunned and amazed how wonderful the companion system is. The best i have ever seen. Am wanting to check out other companions but i always end up having my current one sticking around because they are so darn interesting.
