Very Short 3rd Person Zoom Out?

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 4:38 am

I was wondering if there is a console command or mod yet to allow Fallout 3/Oblivion 3rd person camera zoom out distance. I was surprised to see that mouse wheeling out will only get you to about the character's waist in 3rd person whereas in those other two games you can go out much farther and get a better view of the landscape around the character. As it is right now its almost claustrophobic the view is so short.

Edit: Probably should have posted this thread in tech issues - sorry.

You can use the console command:

setgs fChaseCameraMax 600.0

This will allow you to scroll it as far back as the Vanity camera will go.

That's awesome! Thank you, you're making it very easy for me. :) I see your note on mod location - looks like we have a new drill for them now with Steam.
