Very, very weird visual bug : V

Ok, so Im getting a very strange visual bug in my game. Every time I go underwater there's an outline of a warrior with the horned helmet on. Its only noticeable under the water, but it dos seem to appear out of the water too, although its a lot harder to see. It looks almost like an image burnt onto the screen, although its obviously not since that image doesn't even appear in any menu, or screen that Ive seen. Also its not burnt on any other games or anything else. Is anyone else experiencing it? Ill take some pics, but I don't know if it will show up enough for you to see it. I still have to test ans see if its happening to any other of my characters.

No, haven't seen that- very odd indeed. Beats my weirdest of Lydia loading with an ice shard protruding directly out of her rear end that wasn't there before. :blink: Thankfully is was gone after the next load screen.

The whole screen. Its huge. Its like the promo dragonborn outline you'd see in an advertisemant. I'm going to take pics now. I'm hoping that the bug went away and I cant take pics of it, but Ill see if its still there. Be back in 5-10 minutes with pics hopefully.

Yes. Now I thinkss its the forums that have burnt it on my tv

OK, I took a pic, but its not as bad as it was last night. Ill post it but you may have to zoom in on it etc.

I was wondering if that could be it. A good way to find out would be to open notepad and set it to full sized window. That makes most of your screen white. If you can see the image, you have some burned pixels there.

The best home remedy for the burned image is actually leaving the screen white for as long as possible. White pixels tend to clear out burned in images. Best way to do it is powerpoint, create a blank slide then start the presentation. = Full screen white.

It'll clear after a while of that.

So I took a pic, but it didnt show up, since It took a pic while the ingame light was changing. But it is from this forum. They need to change the background icon, or somthing on this forum, since I never, ever get screen burn.

Wow, now I don't even want to come to these forums if its going to mess up my TV.

Do you know why screen-savers exist? It's a pretty literal name. If a static object sits on a screen, it will burn an image into the screen. This isn't a new thing nor is it specific to this image, but every image.

Basically what I'm saying is - It's your fault.

Im going to assume you have an LCD.

In which case I can safely say it is impossible to burn in an image on an LCD unless you leave the same static image on for at least a day. That being the case, you should change screens more often.

Nope, since my PC turns off when not active and the image on the forum never moves. It only took an hour or two for that image to burn. And no images ever burn onto my TV.

Not really, since it seems to have gone away a bit in game. I just wont be able to come to these forums and stay on them for any long period of time. Or were you just being an [censored]? I'm figuring the latter.

And to the person that suggested the notepad idea. I tried and it didnt show up. Its only showing up underwater, which is weird. Im guessing it was so sharp last night, because I had just got off the forums. Now its not as bad, but I was only on the forums for like an hour or two.

But I like the forums, yet they seem to screw my TV. They just need to remove the pointless, non moving warrior from the background. I remember threads about burnt in image concerns when they changed the forum design and added that. I thought it was BS and that would never happen, but it did to me. And Ive let my TV stand for hours (accidentally) with the same screen and it never burnt on. It something about that damn warrior I guess.
