• Best Studio of the Year

Guys, the VGAs are NOT NOT NOT voted on by the public! Those buttons you push MEAN NOTHING! They are chosen by a panel of judges a la the Oscars.

When you choose something on the linked page nothing happens other than it allowing you to share you choice on FB or twitter. The only thing that the public is allowed to vote on at the VGAs each year are:
1) Best Trailer
2) Most anticipated game of the following year

How does it make any sense to allow people to vote on GOTY when most gamers won't have played more than one or two of the nominated five? Or that One of the Nominees hasn't even been released yet? THINK PEOPLE!

If the VGAs were decided by public vote, the wouldn't be for which game is best, but rather for which game had the most active forums...

These are actually decided by a council.

What are the "Pre-requisites" that a game needs to be nominated for game of the year. Because I could not find Witcher 2 in their list.
