But seriously you guys, why does being a nvde Crusader have to be a sixual thing? It's not. It's about the beauty and savagery of the human form. It's about feeling the wind and sting of the cold on your skin, and defiantly showing the enemy your every muscle and sinew on your body as you split their skull.

What if he's a Nord, they have frost resistance dammit!

And no, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, you're just being a true B?RS?RK! >: D}

Returning to game mechanics, in Oblivion hits are very damaging when you are not wearing armor. If Skyrim is similar in that way, you will need something to restore your health very quickly. Alchemy skill should be mandatory.
EDIT: forgoten the no inventory part. And no spells!!! you must be really good playing coumputer games!

Sounds like a Beserker :D
All he needs now are hallucinogens and speed, and we have a recipe for beserkerness!

Shame the AI won't support bandits running in sheer terror at the sight of a naked Nord frothing at the mouth with a giant sword in his hand.
Other than starring at a line of blood crazed Khorne berserkers drenched in blood, that's a very unnerving sight!

In RPGs, traditionally I have always played a "nvde Crusader" type character. This means I wear no armor, no clothes, no shield, no spells, no bow, no inventory (except for essential quest items of course).....just a big-ass long sword and a desire to sterilize the land of non-believers. It's most definitely a skill-based way to play...combat is tense and visceral.

I'm wondering how viable this will be in Skyrim...of course I know it will be a challenge, but I'd really like for the gameworld to be flexible enough to accommodate my play style.

Hehehe this made me almost choke on my coffee, Awesome theme!!

I keep getting visions of the Naked Guitar Player in NYC, but with a sword instead of the guitar - or perhaps a true representation of Conan?

Agree with the other posters, your gonna be mighty cold in Skyrim! I recommend fleece-lined, thermal underwear at least. :hubbahubba:

Well, you know, if they bring back the unarmored skill that'd be sweet, unfortunately I doubt it's back, hell, I have my doubts that armor skills are back.

How awkward did that make "You are the one from my dreams?"

Not to mention Baurus' decision to leave you alone in a room with the Emperor later on.

LOLOLOLOLOL!
That made my day...

But I liked the nvde Kajit (I cant spell :( ) idea, especially if you get a replacer that makes them look more awesome :woot:

No, they would lock to their lowest set level. Some dungeons are going to be set at a higher "lowest" level than others. So you could be level 1, walk into a level 15-20 (it will only level if you haven't visited it yet. Then will lock in when you do.) dungeon, it would lock in to level 15, but its still level 15, meaning you would still get your ass handed to your until you get around that level.

That's fantastic news to me. I was slightly worried about that. I didn't want every dungeon in the game world to be a low level just because I wanted to explore.... I'm looking forward t getting my ass handed to me on a limeware platter :D

Well, maybe if you're lucky, the enemies will be so flabbergasted at the sight, that before they have a chance to react, you'll have cleaved their skull in two. Or you'll get a Naked Gun Sword mod for Skyrim.

Sounds like a Beserker :D

I prefer my berserkers to wear cursed suits of armor that ensure the warrior keeps on fighting in a blind fury incapable of caring about pain until they finally die, thank you very much. :P

Sounds pretty barbaric to me! I stumbled upon an interesting thread. From the sounds of things Skyrim will be more skill based than stat based I think you'll fit in just fine :)

Your biggest concern is going to be elemental damage, natural or magical. You might want to consider getting a furry loincloth before going up High Hrothgar.

So what do you consider Elsweyr's Divine Crusaders, who listen directly to the will of the gods Jode and Jone and act upon their commands, recieving their connection to the divine through the distilled essence of the Tears of the Lunar Lattice, and distrubuted by the wisdom of the the Den Mothers?

(In laymans terms: The Skooma-addled Khajiit warriors) They aren't merely drug-addicted psychos, they're diefically commanded drug-addicted psychos.
