[ RELZ ] Vibrant Morrowind 4.0

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 1:55 am

Done!

Thanks Elaura... Now people can see some good screens.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Although this comes with 2 versions of vibrant trees as optional esp's.
It is highly recommended that you instant use Vurt's trees and grasses.

I am not playing or browsing the forum much these days, but I wanted to chime in and thank you for this mod, Skydye. I added it to an ongoing game, and it t has really freshened Vvardenfell for me. Of all the areas I've visited, I have been especially pleased with the Redoran interiors: I think you really nailed the balance between ornate and austere.

Yes Knef, most building textures were done by Headless Wonder. I think she did a good job. it's always cool to see someone who does post much lately, Take the time to post.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment at PES. I don't care much about voting. But comments are important. It shows me what changes to do for my next release.

--------------------------------------------------
Everyone feel free to post screens. I'm really bad at taking screenshots and I like to see how people match this up with other peoples texture packs.

Top of the line screenshots El Justiciero.

Why can everyone take better screenshots then me.

If you like you can try Vurt's trees instant of using vibrant trees. Vibrant trees was made in 2005 and is a little out dated.

How much larger are these texture than the default? In other words, how much of an FPS hit could I expect?

No FPS loss. They are the same size as Vibrant Morrowind 3.0. Everyone say's they play fast. Unless you can barely play Morrowind you should have no problems. I don't believe in unnecessarily big textures.

Praise the gods. Will this alter any of Tamriel Rebuilt's textures. And also, how big were 3.0s textures. Anyways, I have a WIP topic to write!

I tried Vurts trees but got a hard fps hit. I think I like Vibrant trees 2.0 just fine. ( note that I just tried them and did not try to reduce the fps hit, just uninstalled them.)

If you use house mods, Then try vibrant trees 1.0. If you find a tree where you don't like it. Open the console command. ~. Use your mouse and click on the tree. It's name should appear on top of the console command. Type in Disable . The tree is gone. Save your game and no more tree.

If the original was a texture at 64. Then it could have been done at 128 and so on....256 would be 512, but I have mipmap set to speed things up. So unless you have the worlds cheapest video card/chip. You'll never see a fps hit. Where ever Tamriel Rebuilt used a original game textures id. This will replace it as they use the same texture id. I don't play Tamreil rebuilt so I don't know what texture id's they used.

Most, if not all of them. TR uses many stock resources, among which the textures.

Yes, this mod: http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2742&start=225. Mostly exterior building, some texturing.

Lots of progress has been made over the past few months. We intend to post a WIP thread, with many screens, in the near future.

I remember seeing that thread when it first started. But I forgot about it. I was away from GHF for a few months. I was spending too much time goofing off and I wanted to finish this mod.
Who's working on it you and Shannon only?
It looks epic.

Hi Skydye,

Thanks. :-) Most of that stuff we'll be posting later, but first we'll be putting some finishing touches on the cells we've built so far.

EDIT

Here are a few screenshots. Please note that this is all WIP.

Hello Skydye,

Thanks for your amazing job!

Just to be sure, when you say that this release is built on top of Vibrant Morrowind 3.0, do you mean that i have first to install the 3.0 version and after this 4.0 one, or does this release already include all your pack?

Sorry if my question seems dumb, English is not my native language and i am not sure to fully understand.

Besides, can i skip the esp files and just install all the textures, meshes and icons directories content? That's because i use a French version of Morrowind and i don't know if the esp files are fully compatible.

Thanks for your help :)

Good question Siham.
I should have been clearer. Vibrant morrowind 4.0 is all you need. It has a lot of stuff from vibrant morrowind 3.0 already in it and it has 100's of new texture from v.m. 4.0.
You don't need the esp files. They are just extra's. They were made along time ago for Vibrnat morrowind 3.0 as extras.

I like. I don't know exactly what you did, but everything in Seyda Neen looks more natural; before it all looked far too clean and new. Was SN included in the first release or am I comparing it to another replacer I used before yours, skydye?

Thanks Elaura,
It was included. It's from vibrant morrowind 3.0. which vibrnat morrowind 4.0 was overwritten on top. They were made by headless wonder. I meant to pull the color back so they fit into the release better but I forgot. So this was a correction.

------------------------------------------------------------

If anyone finds something way out of place please post about it here. I'll do one more update only if really needed and then that's it. I don't like to toy with something after it's released. So let's make sure it truly needs fixing.
