[WIPZ] Vibrant Morrowind 4.0

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:05 pm

I'm dusty of work on Vibrant Morrowind 4.0. All other Works in progress are on hold.

I know people like to comment on works in progress but in this case it's A work solely From Headless Wonders and My Vision and that's the only way to create something like this.
Please understand this is in no way trying to be a main stream release. Understanding that I hope people respect my wishes to NOT READ COMMENTS.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying you don't want anyone to comment at all? Then why even post the thread? :)

If conversely, you don't mind comments but simply don't want to read them then why even mention it? No one here can control what you do or do not read.

I think he just means he is going to post screenshots of his texture pack here, but will not read any comments, and will not listen to anyone else concerning how to make his textures, which is fair enough, as i can understand why he would want something like this to be made to suit his tastes and not someone else's, this is implied by the fact he said 'this is in no way trying to be a main stream release'

And he posts that he is not going to read comments just so we know, and will not ask questions which are never going to get answered (like you just did :P ), if he minded us posting comments he would have just said please don't post comments

If that was indeed his meaning all he would need to do would be to say something like "I will not be replying to comments". That is quite clear and not open to interpretation.

Leaving a cryptic incomplete sentence at the end of his post such as "Understanding that I hope people respect my wishes to NOT READ COMMENTS." is not clear and leaves one unsure whether comments are welcome, whether he intends to read them or not.

Screen shots at night showing optional Vibrant lights esp. not compatible with any other Lighting mods as light mods can conflict with each other. So please just use the lighting mod you like best. Also almost no frame loss as the distant is set to very close. Plus it uses Modman's light script so they turn off in the day time. You will get longer load times exiting buildings in Balmora.

i can see your point, and i agree, but you said you were confused so i was just trying to clear things up

he's definitely not replying though, he did say he was not reading any comments, and so i doubt he will change his post, unless he were to contradict himself

Good ole' Vibrant Morrowind, couldn't play without it!

But the whole comments thing baffles me. I could understand him saying 'please don't critique my work, just heap praise on me' but in this case he wouldn't even read the praise. *sobs, Skydye doesn't want to talk to us! :P

Skydye you know that I always love yours and Headless Wonder's work. These last few shots look wonderful as usual, and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Also by the way how does some http://www.tomanderson-distributor.co.uk/Images/bird_seed.jpg sound?

Still more night shots showing lighting. People may see monochrome colored textures with writing on them. They are place holders for textures not made. Everything even after it has been made maybe changed.

I've found it to be very useful to keep my character in the screen shot. This way I don't make things too bright, too dark, too much saturation and so on. It gives me an instant palette to measure against. Plus it makes it easier to see the light effect of the time of day on textures.

No ini. changes will be used. No Ebseries, no MGE and no photoshop editing. I feel it's to important to see a world texture project without gimmicks to make it apart better then it is. I leave the use of such fine programs to the end user as it's your world to play in. :twirl:

I've decided that the vibrant skies will need to manually loaded. Screens of those will be show late in the project. :coolvaultboy:

Shown with 1 of 2 optional vibrant trees esp. one for lite trees and one for forests. Don't mind the writing on the bark as it's just texture markings.

I really like the sand texture in this one: http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/2108/vm49.jpg

The pebbles almost seem to pop out of the screen. :)

Mucking about in a swamp in Bitter Coast. I really like how much control I have with camera angles in 3rd person. And how I get a greater scene of what the balance and shading and color should be with the textures. It makes Landscaping a joy.

I remember Skydye from one of my many attempts to get my "perfect" Morrowind Modded Game built. The only comment I would like to make is, "Please, please oh Lord, let this be done soon!"

It looks amazing. This is art.

Understanding? Respect? What mean these things, ye bird-brained oaf?

Nice pretty pictures, of course. But don't expect me to say that.

More trees but don't worry they are in forests away from the main action. Late in development I'll be testing Vality trees with my lite trees and removing any of my trees that conflict with his.

I'm a strong believer in people using different texture packs to create your own world.
Let's give this new guy a change and try this.

As I recall, due to unease about a potential infringement upon copywrited material, that particular mod has been cancelled and will no longer be discussed on this thread unless warranted by Skydye or HeadlessWonder themselves (OR i am completely wrong). Constructive comments please.

Textures are appealing! :icecream:
