I'm just wondering when the casino opens up for business. I've taken out the convicts, gotten the NCR to protect the town, and have even dispatched a gang of thugs (NCR deserters who decided to go into business for themselves, I think) that tried to shake me down. Yet when I go into the casino, the only one there is the robot, Primm Slimm. No one at the tables or at the slots to take my caps. Am I missing something, or do I have to wait to get to the Strip before I start gambling?

ETA - I went back to Vicki & Vance some time after entering the Strip, and it was open for business. I don't know what triggers it.

If it does open up for gambling, which I doubt, it most certainly is after you reach the Strip. However, you can still 'gamble' before then, through Caravan.

I have not had it open, it may not.

I believe that it takes 3 game days for the casino to become active after the quests. You might have to be zoned out of the area for the three days though.

I didn't return in many days (Didn't count). I don't think there's a particular trigger for it though, I haven't entered The Strip and it's set up for me.

Wow, that's nice to know. I modified my time compression rate so 3 in-game days takes A LONG time, unless I sleep through them. And with my first char, I reached the Strip, went back to Primm and the casino still wasn't functional.
