Victor & Lucky 38 Lobby Robots Hostile

Post » Thu Jan 07, 2010 1:11 pm

Completed Vault 11 and remember seeing "Quest Failed: The House Always Wins I" when I destroyed the turrets at the end. Also, completed BoS quests and am sporting some T45b power armor right now.

Anyway, I dismissed Veronica and went to the Lucky 38 to retrieve Boone from the presidential suite. As soon as I enter the casino, Victor and two securitrons are immediately hostile. I killed them no problem, but am curious as to why. Was it the turrets in Valut 11? Me wearing power armor? Me having the platinum chip but not turning it over yet? After getting Boone and going back out on The Strip, the other securitrons are not hostile. Thoughts?

The turrets in vault 11 are apart of the Mr. House faction. Another stupid stupid bug which makes no sense whatsoever. I love this game, but what the hell man.

That's what I guessed. If Mr. House had anything to do with what was happening in Vault 11, I feel even better that I decided not to side with him. The other robots on the strip are not hostile, so no bother outside of the Lucky 38.

You know this is an INTERESTING interpretation.

I mean everyone is assuming that it's a bug they're House faction.

What if it's not a bug?

Mr. House was alive before the war, and Vault 11 had some exclusive late-prewar RobCo tech in it (sentry bots). Vault-tec and RobCo and Poseidon energy were all tangled up as part of the military-industrial complex, maybe Mr. House knew about the vault experiments?

But I doubt House would mind about you destroying some old relic.

Anyways, just go after you finish "House Always Win, I" if you care.

It's not a big deal as I had no intentions siding with House, But I do find it curious that Victor and the robots in the Lucky 38 were hostile. I kill them, still have access to take the elevator to the presidential suite, and the rest of his bots on the strip are not hostile. Yes, maybe a bug, but still makes me go hmmmmm...

You can escape vault 11 with a stealth boy and keep House cool FYI
