Is Victor an important part of the game?

I was exploring outside of Goodsprings and found an abandoned shack. While I was making it my home, I found his lifeless robotic body right behind the shack.

Is this going to cause problems? If so, can he be "rezzed" without adverse effects to his part in the story?

I have no idea when he died and don't have a rollback save.

Don't worry, I had Victor keel over nine times so far in my current game, he just respawns everytime(eventually)....

There's an underground Victor factory somewhere nearby...

He's just an AI controlled by house...So, if he keels over, he's just booted up in another bot. I guess the only real way to kill victor would be to wipe the drive he is stored on.

Heh, once you get to the strip, if he has died before, he explains it to you. He's just an AI. In fact, as you move through the Lucky 38 you notice that Victor keeps switching to bots to match your location without moving at all.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME???
Okay yeah the same thing sorta happened to me except i killed him. i thought he was evil because he showed up so i thought he was an evil character, so i killed him in the very beginning. Did i just f*** myself?! Can anyone tell me what he does later on? If you need him? What happens if you keep him to the end? (i don't care if you give me spoilers!!!!)

i have, i actually shot him enough times till he actually died. But for me he wasn't booted up by another bot, and hasn't showed up since. I think i actually removed him from the game because i did that. So i want to know if i just messed up bad...

I got a lol when I went back to Goodsprings and Trudy was all, "Good riddance!"

check the strip, in front of the lucky 38, or novac by the dinosaur, if hes not theyre your game has glitched cause its impossible for him to die, at all. IF HE DIES IN GOODSPRINGS YOU WONT FIND HIM THERE, He moves on. The only times he can be killed is after killing mr house or outside the lucjy 38 - dont know what needs to happen for this to occur.
