Video Card Issue

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 4:22 pm

I'm hoping I can get some help here because I don't know where else to go.

My issue is that my old video card was dyeing so I upgraded to an ATI Radeon HD 5770, now wen I launch window I see the Microsoft Corp. and the bar underneath. The screen goes black I hear the load chime but, I have no video at all. I do a hard restart and, try to load in safe mode but, it never gets past the please wait.

I assumed windows would launch using a generic driver and, I would have to install the one I needed but, It didn't work that way.

I'm running windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on an intel Mac Using a bootcamp partition. I know little to nothing about troubleshooting PC issues. I only run windows for gaming.

Thanks in advance for any help

PS I hope this question isn't inappropriate on the forums. as its not really a game question.

It was a mid range NVIDEA Geforce (forgot the number.)

Edit

Looked it up here are my old cards specs.

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT with 256MB of GDDR2 SDRAM, one single-link DVI port, and one dual-link DVI port
