1. The reviews I've read are mixed. They are also tv/movie specific. I can't tell if the refresh rate is fast enough. I'd also like to know about small text quality, specific to Fallout 3. Might be interesting to get an opinion from someone using the game on a PC with their monitor set to 640 x 480.
2, This type of eyewear is priced between $200.00 and $500.00. They're made to give a view similar to a large screen tv (up to 80"). For a single user, these glasses would be cheaper than the tv. To date, I've been using a 26" regular tv and the Pip Boy text isn't the easiest to read.
3. I'm leary about the manufacturer''s opinion. I want an independant response with no buy/sell pressure. I'm not one to blindly buy and return but that's an option.
I've lived in Northern Virginia all my life. I love the combination of fact and fiction in traveling the Wasteland. I have over 400 hours invested in the original Fallout 3, my only game for the xbox 360. Haven't added any of the DLC's yet. I still find things in the Wasteland I've missed previously. Bugs have locked me out of a lot of places too. I'm sure this eyewear would be good enough to watch tv or videos. Maybe I'll be the first to try them with Fallout 3. As time passes, a high enough quality product will hit the market. The question is "Is it here yet?".
Thanks for the responses.
