Black Ops better not be, or it's phony awards that are influenced by volume of sales and hype over anything else.
That being said, nothing jumps out at me as a definite winner, but Red Dead is a strong contender.

Isnt that what its about? Obviously a great game would sell alota copies and the best would have shown distinction. Just like Black Ops has. Ie, 8 hours after release, 2,000,000+ people online playing, 32 hours after release 4,000,000+ people online playing. And there were tons of copies out there that wasnt playing, aka gifts (like Christmas gifts), then there were the ones who dont have access to online. How does that not make game of the year?
