Video Series

Post » Fri Oct 29, 2010 1:06 am

I'm looking to make some videos for Fallout or Oblivion, but I have no idea what I could do. Anyone have any ideas?

What mods I could include?
What mods might make filming easier?
What I cold base the videos on?

Thanks.

Well, for a challenge, try doing a comedy, since I have never seen a fallout comedy. Also, you could try doing a horror video, as those are usually pretty effective. :P

Basically, what ideas do you have? Are you on the PC, or 360?

Edit: Nevermind, forgot to read the second half....

Try to have it different by using mods that change the environment. Mods that bring in new outfits and weapons would probably good. Anything that improves the game visually should be good.

I'm on PC.

As for ideas, I'm empty. I can't think of anything that hasn't already been done.
The idea of stealth appeals to me however. I just can;t think of how to use it.

Also, for a comedy, I'm not really a good comedy writer, but I;d give it a go if someone could help me with the script.

Yeah, I know what you mean, trying to write something funny usually is a pain for me. However, since stealth appeals to you, there are two ideas....

1. Wasteland Assassin - A series about an assassin who travels across the wasteland, taking up contracts to assassinate targets. It could be done very elaborate, with the assassin able to infiltrate the targets area by using disguises, and creating a trail of bodies behind him. To add a cool effect, have several camera angles that look like they came from a security camera, and shots of people nearby the assassin, hearing the sounds of gunshots, and screams. Just came to mind after watching that scene from The Terminator when the robot goes on a massacre at the police station.

2. Survival of The Fittest - Something about a person who happens to always be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The person never has any weapons, or at least not enough firepower to take down whatever is pursuit of the person. The survivor has to sneak and run their way to safety, and use their wits if they want to survive.

Just ideas that came out of my head. Feel free to use them.

Pretty good ideas there. I wonder, is it possible to move your character around whilst in free cam?

That, I do not know. I hope there is a way to do that though, so it's possible to do those "Security Camera" style angles.

Time to take a look at the ol' Nexus.... :P

EDIT: Found this, it doesn't give you fixed cameras, at least I think it doesn't but it gives you more camera options. http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=577

Dropped him a message.

I've been looking around at some guides too, so hopefully I'll get started soon.
