In the end the G4 deathmatch basically comes down to which game has the more active fan base and not which game was better designed within its specific genre. G4 always seems to endorse this kind of stuff. That's one thing that makes G4 a joke to me in particular.

Fallout has dropped 2% to Gears in the past few hours, I reckon it can hold its 6% margin for the next 17 hours though. Heh ha. FO FTW :vaultboy:

Of course, TES has never stood a chance but what kills me inside is how extremely slowly is Fallout's lead taken away. It's sooo obvious that it's just bunch of guys making new accounts again and again. The worst is that they are even openly declaring it and calling others to do the same.

Isn't there something what we can do? This defeat would be humiliating to a game series like Fallout. Please guys help me. I already made several accounts. Let's support Fallout at least one more time and spread the word. :fallout:

No need for that dude, leave that to the Gears fans! Heh ha. Fallout is going all the way baby yeah! It's pumped up on Modified FEV and will kill all franchises in its path... kill them to death!

Let's not promote underhanded means of influencing the poll. If G4TV is worth their salt they're go through the results and try to remove all of the duplicate accounts and what not.

He is probably the most famous english starcraft commentator. He has a fair amount of subs on Youtube and that's how he got the word out.

Epic is offering a 30x XP weekend if Gears beats Fallout. That's pretty low if you ask me because all of the people that don't have the achievement for reaching level 100 will vote for Gears.

svcks, huh. Heh ha. Rod Fergusson posted it to Facebook and Twitter, and the Gears forum has a thread on it. It's pretty funny reading it and seeing that those who earned their wings are complaining that other players are gonna be getting them the easy way. ^_^ [Edit: If it wins.]

Fallout's dropped another 1%. 7 hours to go, s'not looking good, s'been dropping steadily since yesterday arvie. :sadvaultboy:

OK, I am not sure if community is aware, but I am bumping this thread up again.

The new round has already started and Fallout is doing pretty badly.

At least the AC voters mostly sound like pretty decent and polite gamers.

Despite the fact that Fallout is losing, I'm not gonna go through the trouble of creating an account on G4.

Instead I will support Bethesda by pre-ordering Skyrim

I only let the rest know about the reply I received. I decided to ask the G4 webmaster (Webmaster@g4tv.com) about their protection and the reply was:
"There's not really a simple or legitimate way to protect against that kind of thing unfortunately." :happy:

On top of that, I checked morning results and Fallout was 53% when the countdown hit 00:00:00:00. But the contest continued and Gears guys took another 1% down. If you check the final results, you will see that they indeed left it with aditional post-countdown votes (52% for Fallout). :smile:

But we still can't give up, can we?

I love gears of war. It's seriously one of the only shooters that isn't an RPG that I love. You actually have to think in battle, and conserve ammo.. I never had to do that on any other one I have played.

Did you also include first two Fallouts in your assessment? Of course, we all have different tastes but I think that most those who are with Fallout since 1st one, would for now consider Fallout to be a better franchise.
